HomeMy WebLinkAbout1986 12-19 CC MINBook 68/Page 9 12/19/86 MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA DECEMBER 19, 1986 The special meeting of the City Council of the City of National City (for the purpose of considering acceptance of drainage easements for the Duck Pond area) was called to order at 10:00 a.m. by Mayor Waters. ROLL CALL Council members present: Cooper, Dalla, Pruitt, Waters. Absent: VanDeventer. Administrative officials present: Bolint, Eiser, McCabe, Deputy City Clerk Monday, Post, Stafford. EASEMENT — FLOOD CONTROL Resolution No. 15,169, "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY ACCEPTING DRAINAGE EASEMENTS FOR A 66" STORM DRAINAGE LINE IN THE 'DUCK POND' AREA." Moved by Cooper, seconded by Pruitt, Resolution No. 15,169 be adopted. Carried by unanimous vote. Absent: VanDeventer. City Attorney Eiser read Councilman VanDeventer's memo dated December 18, 1986 into the record: "TO: Mayor and City Council "FROM: Councilman Jess E. VanDeventer "SUBJECT: Establishing Policy for Setting the Time for Special Meetings "I hereby recommend that a policy be established governing the calling of special meetings to give Council members the option of choosing a time compatible with all members. Members should be polled prior to the setting of a specific time so that everyone is given the opportunity to vote on key issues that are the subject of special meetings. "(s)Jess E. VanDeventer Councilman" ADJOURNMENT Moved by Cooper, seconded by Pruitt, the meeting be adjourned to 4:00 p.m., January 6, 1987. Carried by unanimous vote. bsent: VanDeventer.
