MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA
NOVEMBER 27, 1984
3:00 p.m.
ROLL CALL: Council members present: Cooper, Dalla, VanDeventer, Waters,
Morgan. Absent: None.
COMMUNICATION FROM CHULA VISTA INVESTMENT GROUP REGARDING
DEVELOPMENT POSSIBILITIES OF 25 ACRES ON THE NORTH SIDE OF
SWEETWATER CHANNEL IN NATIONAL CITY.
CHARLES LeMANAGERE was present and displayed maps showing the lands under
their control in both Chula Vista and National City and explained how the
property could be developed with marina and motels, hotels, garden office
buildings, road completed from Chula Vista across the trestle and made to join
possibly with Harrison Ave. in National City. Mr. LeManagere answered City
Council's questions. Discussion.
R.MITCHELL BEAUCHAM P, representing CVIG, was present and spoke of land
given by the developers for conservancy and referred to the Corps of Engineer's
plans which have not been finalized, saying the area could be referred to as a
recreational site.
As Staff report on the Corps of Engineer's proposal is scheduled for the agenda
of December 18, it was consensus that the CVIG proposal be considered at that
tim e.
Meeting closed at 3:47 p.m.
