MINUTES OF THE CITY MANAGER'S HEARING ON REVENUE SHARING
CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA
APRIL 18, 1983
The REVENUE SHARING HEARING was called to order at 10:00 a.m. by City
Manager McCabe.
Administrative officials present: McCabe, Secretary to the City Clerk
McGonigle.
The Notice of the Revenue Sharing Hearing was read into the record:
"This is a proposed use hearing for general revenue
sharing funds. It is the first of two hearings, the purpose
of which is to provide interested citizen's groups, senior
citizens and organizations the opportunity to submit written
and/or oral comments on the possible use of City revenue
sharing funds during the next fiscal year. The City
estimates that it will have $1,437,040 in revenue sharing
funds for expenditure during fiscal year 1983-84. It should
be noted that the current revenue sharing program expires
in September, 1983. Approval of a continuing program is
anticipated. However, if Congress does not authorize its
renewal, funding will not be available.
"Notice of this hearing was published in the National
City Star News on April 3, 1983. In addition, various news
media serving the greater San Diego area were notified of
this hearing, as were local senior citizen's groups.
"Applicants interested in receiving revenue sharing
funds have been asked to file a grant application with
the City Manager."
City Manager McCabe reported the following applications were received to
date:
