There was also discussion about the width of the right-of-way and its ability to accommodate both rail traffic and a bike path. Information and concerns were enumerated about the undesirable consequences of freight trains and freight storage using the line, and the desirable benefits that eliminating freight storage would have on future development. The potential for a dinner train on a portion of the rail line was also examined and discussed. William Tuchscher, Developer of the Crystal Bay Project on the Chula Vista Bayfront, wanted to go on record and clarify that they are terrified of freight coming in; but they have no problem with the tourist -oriented uses of the rail lines. The consensus was that the issues would be taken up again at a future workshop as things develop and more information becomes available.
