MINUTES OF AN ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY. CALIFORNIA
MARCH 8. 1991
The regular meeting of the City Council of the City of National
City was called to order at 3:02 p.m. by Mayor Waters.
ROLL CALL
Council members present: Dalla,Inzunza, Van Deventer, Zarate,
Waters.
Administrative officials present: Bolint, Eiser, McCabe,
Peoples.
Mayor Waters requested that Item 1(b) (Resolution No. 91-40) be
heard first.
CONTRACT
1(b) Resolution No. 91-40. "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
LEASE FOR A POLICE DEPARTMENT ANNEX."
TESTIMONY: City Attorney Eiser gave a brief poster
board presentation comparing the two bids from Thomas.
O'Brien & Associates and Collins Development Company
for Southport Office Park, Ltd. (Copies on file in the
Office of the City Clerk).
Police Chief Knee addressed the two locations under
consideration and stated that in speaking with his
Staff who would be using the facility, the general
consensus was that Southport Office Park was the better
location. The building is newer. the office space
layout and security is much better.
ACTION: Motion by Van Deventer, seconded by Dalla. to
support Southport Office Park. Carried by unanimous
vote.
PARKING ADMINISTRATION 1991
1(a) Resolution No. 91-39. "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY AUTHORIZING THE INSTALLATION OF
RED CURB ON TRANSPORTATION AVENUE BETWEEN 24TH STREET AND
25TH STREET."

ACTION: Motion by Dalla. seconded by Van Deventer, in
favor of Resolution No. 91-39. Carried by unanimous
vote.
NOTE: Mr. Zolezzi. from Southport Office Park, inquired as
to whether the red curb ruling could be reversed upon
termination of the lease. Council consensus was that this
would be done.
ADJOURNMENT
Motion by Van Deventer. seconded by Dalla, the meeting be
ad,.ourned to the Regular City Council Meeting - March 12. 1991 -
7:00 p.m. Council Chambers. Civic Center. Carried by unanimous
vote.
The meeting closed at 3:39 p.m.
The foregoing minutes were approved at the regular meeting of
March 19, 1991.
