MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING OF THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY,
CALIFORNIA
September 18 , 2000
The Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of National
City was called to order at 3:05 p.m. by Mayor Waters.
ROLL CALL
Councilmembers present: Beauchamp, Inzunza, Morrison, Soto, Waters.
Administrative officials present: Dalla, Desrochers, Eiser, McCabe, Morse,
Post.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG

1. RAILROAD TRACK CONFIGURATION AND RAILWAY
TOURISM IN THE HARBOR DISTRICT
Councilman Beauchamp introduced several people in attendance and
invited them to address the City Council on their activities and plans.
The following individuals and organizations were present at the
meeting:

Following presentations and discussion by Karen Hunter, Richard
Borstadt, Jack Limber, Richard Hamilton, Charles Alban, Barry
Howard, Walt Thook, and Jess Vandeventer, there was a consensus to
pursue establishment of a broad -based committee or planning group
that would develop a rail master plan. CDC Director Desrochers said
that, if it is the consensus of the Commission, he would solicit a
consulting firm to develop a plan and work with the Commission and
staff.
ACTION: Motion by Morrison, seconded by Inzunza, to refer
this back to staff. Carried by unanimous vote.
ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned to the Next Regular City Council Meeting,
September 19, 2000, at 3:00 p.m., Council Chambers, Civic Center.
The meeting closed at 4:30 p.m.
The foregoing minutes were approved at the Regular Meeting of October 3,
2000.
