MINUTES OF AN ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING OF THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY,
CALIFORNIA
May 14, 2002
The Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of National
City was called to order at 6:05 p.m. by Mayor Waters.
ROLL CALL
Councilmembers present: Inzunza, Morrison, Zarate (arrived at 6:15 p.m.),
Waters.
Councilmembers absent: Beauchamp
Administrative officials present: Dalla, Eiser, Morse, Myers, Post.
1. PUBLIC HEARING — Modifications to Parking District "A".
a) Change parking hours on 22nd Street from "7 a.m. to 7 p.m.," to
"9 a.m. to 5 p.m."
b) Increase the Parking District size by adding additional
residences on "B" and "C" Avenues.
RECOMMENDATION: None.
TESTIMONY: Ernesto Lozano was in favor of keeping
everything as -is or expanding the district and including
weekends.
Jose Urebe was in favor of leaving the boundaries as -is but
changing the hours on the signs.
Juana Guzman was in favor of changing the parking hours.
Sam Gonzales was against any change.
Maria Ramirez related an experience she had while parking her
car and expressed concern about the street sweeper.
Georgia Wapnowski, speaking on behalf of Linda Asay,
suggested increasing the number of parking permits and
eliminating the "No Parking on 22nd Street."
Maria Gonzalez expressed concerns about abandoned cars.
Angie McDonald was in favor of removing the signs on 22nd
Street.

PUBLIC HEARING (cont.)
Joyce Wilson wants something done because there is a real
problem.
ACTION: Motion by Morrison, seconded by Zarate, to refer
the item to the Traffic Safety Committee. Carried by
unanimous vote. Absent: Beauchamp.
The meeting was adjourned to an Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City
Council, to be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2002 at 4:00 p.m., in the Council
Chambers.
The meeting closed at 4:00 p.m.
