National City, California, Nov. 25, 1964
The special meeting of the City Council was called to order by Mayor
Gautereaux at 5:30 p.m. in the office of the City Manager.
Council members present: Allen, Hogue, Gautereaux. Council members
absent: Colburn, Morgan.
Administrative officials present: Assistant City Manager Osburn.
Others present: Architects: Dick Wheeler, Guy Anderson, Bob Bradt,
and Rodney Smith.
MAYOR GAUTEREAUX explained the reason for the meeting was to interview
four architects under consideration for the proposed Senior Citizens'
facilities and stated for convenience the architects would be inter-
viewed alphabetically.
GUY ANDERSON presented his qualifications and a brochure on his work.
(At 5:38 p.m. Councilman Morgan arrived and took his place at the
meeting.) Mr. Anderson departed at 5:44 p.m.
BOB BRADT entered at 5:45 p.m. and presented a brochure on his per-
sonnel and recent work. Mr. Bradt departed at 5:59 p.m.
RODNEY SMITH entered at 6:00 p.m. and presented his qualifications and
views on the project to be accomplished. Mr. Smith was requested to
present a brochure. 6:09 p.m. Mr. Smith departed.
DICK WHEELER entered at 6:10 p.m. Mr. Wheeler presented pictures and broch-
ure on his work, as well as qualifications and staff. Mr. Wheeler departed
at 6:33 p.m.
The COUNCIL decided to study the matter and make a decision in the near
future.
The Meeting closed at 6:35 p.m.
