RESOLUTION NO. 5968 was read, as follows: That, effective July 1, 1953, the Rates as set forth on the Salary Schedules in Resolutions numbered 5736, 5820, 5925 and 5937 be, and they are hereby set and established as follows: Assistant Librarian - Rate 15 ($256-311) Assistant Librarian (Children) - Rate 15 ($256-311) Apprentice Bookkeeping Machine 0per. - Rate 10 ($200-244) Bookkeeping Machine Operator - Rate 12 ($221-269) Bldg. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. RESOLUTION NO. 5969 was read, distributing the Unapportioned Tax Fund in the sum of $40,816.62 as follows: General Fund, 124,295.61; Library Fund, $5,102.07; Park M & I Fund, 5,223.56; Retirement Fund, 55,223.56; Sinking Fund #6, 971.82; Sinking Fund #8, none. The Special Delinquent Tax Fund in the sum of $1,723.73 is distributed as follows: General Fund, $1,026.03; Library Fund, $215.46; Park M & I Fund, $220.60; Retirement Fund, $220.60; Sinking Fund #6, $41.04; Sinking Fund #8, none. Moved by McClure, seconded 6/3o 263 by• Parchen, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. RESOLUTION NO. 5970 was read, transferring the sum of $9,655.84 from the Unapportioned Tax Fund to the General Fund, to rectify an error made January 9, 1953. Moved by Parchen, seconded by McClure, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. RESOLUTION NO. 5971 was read, stating that the City of National City has received from the State of California the total sum of $113,614.39 as and for the City's portion of the Motor Vehicle License Fee Fund for the fiscal year July 1, 1952, to July 1, 1953; and there has been expended by the City of National City a sum in excess of $113,614.39 for law enforcement within the City of National City for the same period. It is hereby directed that all money re- ceived from said Motor Vehicle License Fee Fund be used for law enforcement within the City of National City, and all law enforcement expenditures made in the period of July 1, 1952, to July 1, 1953, shall be chargeable first against said Motor Vehicle License Fee Fund, and all of said ex- penditures heretofore made are hereby ratified. Moved by McClure, seconded by Parchen, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. RESOLUTION NO. 5972 was read, requesting the State to pay the State's share of the total cost to be paid for the acquisition for which the Local Agency is requesting aid. Resolution No. 5867 is hereby rescinded. Fred A. Rhodes, City Manager, is hereby designated as the authorized agent of Local Agency and is hereby authorized and directed to sign the request on behalf of Local Agency. Moved by McClure, seconded by Parchen, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. Moved by Parchen, sec nded by McClure, that the meeting be closed.
