Councilmen presents Adams, Curry, Matthews, Fritz. Councilmen absent: Thatcher, ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICIALS presents Dickson, Campbell, Rogers. ORDINANCE NO. an ordinance of Intention to vacate and close a public alley, located in Block 17, City Plat, City of National City, California, was introduced. Moved by Adams, seconded by Matthews, that only the heading be read. Carried, by the follow- ing vote to -wit: Ayes: Adams, Curry, Matthews, Fritz. Nays: none. ORDINANCE NO. an ORDINANCE OF INTENTION TO VACATE AND 410 CLOSE A PUBLIC ALLEY LOCATED IN BLOCK 17, CITY PLAT OF NATIONAL 0 CITY, CALIFORNIA. Moved by Adams, seconded by Matthews, that the Ordinance be laid over until the next meeting for the second and final reading. Carried, by the following vote to -wit: Ayes: Adams, Curry, Matthews, Fritz. Nays: none. COUNCILMAN THATCHER present. r APPLICATION OF BERNARD J. BANE; was read, requesting to purchase at public auction tax sale, Lots 5 & 7, Block 52, City Plat, RESOLUTION NO. 4839 was read, setting the opening bid for Lot 5, Block 52, City Plat, at 078.78 and Lot 7, Block 52, City Plat, at $82.44, and authorizing the City Tax Collector to advertise same. Moved by Adams, seconded by Thatcher, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried all Councilmen present voting aye. REPORT FROM THE PLANNING COMMISSION WAS READ, recommending that petition No. 340 of Frank W. Rogers, for a special permit to establish a 15 foot setback on Lots 14 to 28 inclusive, and Lots 13 to 38 inclusive, Palmcrest Sub., in the NE * of 40 Acre Lot 2, Quarter Section 131, Rancho de la Nacion, be approved; recommend- it 1 • 1 • 129 ing the acceptance of Rancho Terrace Subdivision (tentative map) subject to the following modifications: 100 foot radius on Palmer; 100 foot circle on Seco Drive and moving of circle north; also recommending that the petition of the State Highway Dept. for the closing of alley in Block 212, City Plat, be denied. Moved by Matthews, seconded by Thatcher, that the report be accepted, Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER DICKSON read a letter from the League of California Cities, suggesting National City be represented at the American Municipal Asstn Conference at Washington, D. C. on December 12th to 15th. Mayor Fritz stated that as president of the San Diego County unit of the League, he had been urged to attend, and that Mayor Koester of Chula Vista, vice president of the County League had been authorized by his City Council to attend. Moved by Adams, seconded by Thatcher, that Mayor Fritz be authorized to attend the conference in Washington, December 12 to 15, and that his expenses be paid by the City. Carried, by the following vote to -wit: Ayes: Adams, Curry, Matthews, Thatcher, Fritz. Nays: none. Moved by Adams, seconded by Thatcher, that the meeting be closed.
