ATTORNEY CAMPBELL reported on the hearing of the San Diego Electric Ry Co. for increased rates. LiR, HATSEN, representative of the Company was present and requested the Council to approve their request to the Commission to make an immediate interim order on a part of the fare increases. RESOLUTION NO, 4368 was read, approving the request of the San Diego Electric Ry Co. to the Public Utilities Commission to make an immediate interim order granting the Company a part of the fare increases, and authorizing Mayor Gilbert E. Fritz to sign on behalf of the City. Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Cordingly, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. BILLS AUDITED by the Finance Comiittee presented: Payroll fund $8,023.65 Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Thatcher, that the payroll be allowed. ADMINISTRATIVE O_'2ICER DICKSON that he has a communication from Assemblywoman Neihouse which stated that the Interim Committee, of which she is a member would not be able to visit National City until the session is over.
