Thatcher, Councilmen present: Cordingly, Newberry, Thatoher. Councilmen absent: Adams, Fritz. RESOLUTION NO. 4257 was read, authorizing Frank W. Rogers, Assessor, to add to the 1946-1947 tax roll a $475.00 valuation on ass+mt. #2161, and a reduction in Veterans exemption in the same amount, as a Veterans exemption was granted and the property later segregated. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Newberry, that the Resolution bc granted'. Carried, all Councilman present voting aye. COUNCILMAN NEWBERRY stated that he would bc unable to remain long at this meeting and suggested a meeting ncxt week between the Council and Civil Service Commission to discuss the salary adjustments. Administrative Officer Dickson stated that he would contact the members of the Commission and it -was agreed that December 10, 1946, at 3:00 P.M. time far the meeting. o'clock would be the best RESSOLUTION NO. 4258 was read, accepting the bid of Carral & Poster in the sum of $19,856.00 far the construction of an 18" sewer line, on e.)ndition that the contract be prepared and approved by the Administrative Officer and City Attorney, and the Mayar of the City of National City be authorized to sign contract after said approval. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Newberry, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Councilmen present eating aye. ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER DICKSON requested authorizatirn to advertise for bids far pipe and pumping equipment for the balance of the sewer trunk line. Moved by Newberry, seconded by Cordingly, that the request bc granted. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. 1097 COUNCILMAN NEWBERRY reported that a request for a street light at 22nd Street and Highland Avenue had been received and requested Administrative Officer Dickson to report on same. Mr. Dickson reported that a request for a street light at 18th Street end Harbor Drive has been made and that he will report on the two requests at the next meeting.
