Trotochau concerning drainage situation at 21st St. and th Ave. Moved by Newberry Seconded by Christman that a copy of the letter be sent to W. A. Paddock. Carried, all 6ouncilmen present voting aye. Moved by Christmen, seconded by Fritz, that the ordinance be adopted. Carried, all Councilmen except Councilmen Newberry voting aye on roll -call. Councilmen absent: None. Co. on Lot 3, of Palm Court of 40 Ac. 2, Quarter Section 132, Rancho de le Nacion; also, George Trotochau on 550 feet of the North 115 feet of the N half of the W half o f the E half of the W half of the S half 5x. St. 20 Ac. 2, Quarter Section 133, Rancho de la Nacion, for acceptance wityout the seven percent interest and the cancellation fee. Moved by Newberry, seconded by Christman, that the taxes be accepted. Carried, all councilmen present voting aye. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. Councilmen absent: None. ommunication from League of California Cities regarding Reso. concerning Water Authority, laid over to next regular meeting. 4oved by Newberry, seconded by Cordingly that the Attorney be in- structed to draw up Reso. regarding State Civiliian Defense Bulletin 19-A amending Section V. Carried, all Councilmne present voting aye. Councilmen absent: None. City Attorney, Gene Ratelle reported he had been in touch with Mr. Mason regarding franchise tax, however, Mr. Mason is not in positiion to committ himself at the present time. Report from Union Title Insurance and Trust Company on certain tax deeded properties in the City of National City, referred to City Clerk for further information. Councilman Cordingly excused. Moved by Newberry, seconded by Fritz that Suit No. 117189 filed akainst certain public officials and the City of National City be re- ferred to the City Attorney for appearance and answer. Carried. All Councilmen present voting aye. Councilmen absent:None. 4r. Ireland present regarding storm drain at the foot of 13th St. included in Navy Project, &ity to furnish pipe to connect same in the amount of $350.00. Moved by Christman, seconded by Newberry that the City Engineer proceed with project. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. Councilmen absent: Cordingly. /Mayor Thatcher appointed the following Councilmen as a Committee on the future Sewer Development; Fritz, Chairman, Christman, and Cordingly. Being no further business, it was -moved by Newberry, seconded by Frio, that the meeting adjourn. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. Councilmen absent: Cordingly.
