Councilmen present: Christman, Cordingly, Fritz, Newber- ry, Thatcher. Councilmen absent: none. Administrative officials present: Smith, Batelle, Lamb, Gautereaux, Ireland, Campbell, Finnerty, Bird and Knapp. Minutes of regular meeting of June 15th and the adjourned meeting of June 29th, read and approved. Councilman Cordingly Excused. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Christman, that the bills audited by the City Council be accepted and warrants ordered drawn for same. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. Councilmen absent: Cordingly. Petition to reopen and reconsider the junk yard permit at 8th and Roosevelt Avenue, read. Moved By Newberry, Seconded by Christman that the matter be referred to the Chief of Police as it is a matter of the violation of the zoning ordinance. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. Councilmen absent: none. Councilman Cordingly returned during the reading of the above petition. Request of the National City Chamber of Commerce for the sum of $400.00 to be included in the 1943-1944 budget for advertisini and promotion referred to the Budget session. Certified copy of the resolution of the County Board of Supervisors accepting the resolution of the City of National City relative to the care of prisoners at the County Farm, read and ordered filed. Model ordinance regarding the sale of electrical devices ordered filed. Easement for sewer across Block 13, E.Steele and G.A. Parsons Subdivision from Earl W. Morefield and Joanne F. Morefield, husband and wife, read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Christman, that RESOLUTION NO. 2488 be adopted, accepting the easement of Earl W. Morefield and Joanne F. Morefield, husband and wife.
