No. 2331 be passed executing an easement for spur track to the
Tavares Construction Company by .the City of National City, Carried
all Councilmen present voting aye on roll cell. Councilmen
absent: Warner.
4oved by Fritz, seconded by Cordingly that peso. No.2332
be adopted accepting County checks Nos. 130159 in the amount of
413.67 and 11130158 in the amount of 1,,313.65 being proceeds frcm
County Tax Sales NO. 1841, No.1841-1. Carried. All councilmen
present voting aye on roll call. Councilmen Absent: Warner.

Advertising Company regarding the installing of trash cans on
the sidewalks of the City of National City. Moved by Fritz,
seconded by Cordingly matter be referred to the Chief of Police)

same.
✓Communication from War Department regarding permit to dredge
approximately 85,000 cubic yards of material from an area shoreward
of the J.S. Pierhead line and depositing same in elks 245 and 248
inclusive. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Newberry that matter be
referred to City Engineer.
k6ommunication from senator Ed. Fletcher regarding Water
Contracts in the State of California. Ordered filed.
communication from United Water Taxi Company regarding the
obtaining of a Franchise from the City of National City to operate
in the waters off National City. Clerk ordered to write letter
to same.
✓Communication from San Diego Pu blic Safety Committee concerning
the parking condition on E 8th Street. Moved by Fritz, Seconded
by Newberry same be referred to Traffic Commission.

installaticn of Boulevard Stop Signs at Sanitarium Avenue and
Burden Way et Eighth Street. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Cordingly
report be accepted and signs be installed. Carried on roll call
all councilmen present voting aye. Councilmen ebsent: Warner

Report of the City planning Commission on the petitions of the
following persons for special permits and recommending granting
of same: Mrs. Mary M. Hodges, Mr. Norman P. Punk, Mr. H. Philip
Scheuerman, and Mr. J. E. Patterson. Moved by Fritz, seconded by
Cordingly Chet the report be accepted and placed on file. Carried
all Councilmen present voting aye on roll call. Councilmen absent:
Werner.
✓Moved by Fritz, seconded by Cordingly that hesolution No.2333

be adopted, granting the special permits es recommended by the
Planning Commission. Carried all councilmen present voting aye
on roll call. Councilmen absent: Warner.
4oved by Newberry, seconded by Cordingly the City of National
City, charge the Naval "ousing Project $25.00 per each sweeping
of streets. Carried all councilmen present voting aye. Councilmen
absent: Warner.
0/Moved by Fritz, seconded by Newberry the City Attorney be
instructed to attempt to obtain the amount of $125.00 from the
Condemnation of Blk 384 and adjoining Streets. All Councilmen
present voting aye. Councilmen absent: Warner.
Estimate submitted of the installation of telephones in
Civilian Defense Control boom. heferred to Finance Committee with
power to act.
Moved by Fritz, secondec by Newberry, that 10 sets of
black out lights be bought, and the Fire Department instructed to
install same for ambulances selected by Dr. Rolph. All Councilmen
present voting aye on roll call. Councilmen absent: Varner.
Being no further business, it was moved by Cordingly, seconded
by Newberry, tnat the meeting adjourn.
