Councilmen absent: Cordingly 419 City Clerk Dale Smith submitted a check from W.E.Starke in the amount of ' 512.89 in accordance with the action filed by the rachiFan Mortgage vs San Diego County et al. City Attorney Burch recommended acceptance. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Newberry, that —RESOLUTION MO. 2413 be adopted, accepting the check and authorizing the proper officers to make the proper entries. Councilmen absent: aordingly. roved by 'dewberry, seconded by Christman, that the City Attorney be instructed to file notice on Leonard McLauchlan that the lease on the portion of the south mole pier is being cancelled due to non-payment of rentals. City Attorney Burch read the heading of ORDINAircE NO. 694 94 entitled " An Ordinance of the Clty of National City, California, Relating to Restricted Lighting". Moved by Newberry, seconded by Christman, that the ordnance be adopted. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye on roll -call. Councilmen absent: Cordingly. Moved by Christman, seconded by Frtiz, that a Resolution of riiemorium be adopted in tribute to the late Percy J. Benbough, Mayor of San t1ego, and that copy be sent to the City Connell of an Diego and to the Benbough family, also thnt it be spread upon the minutes of this meeting. Benbough RESOLVED, That the City Council of the City of National City, adopt this reso- lution in tribute to the memory of our late distinguished colleague, Percy J. Benbough, Mayor of the City of San Diego. By his death we have lost a fellow public servant whose outstanding character reflected high honor upon the profession of public service and Whose memory is a worthy inspiration for all time. BE IT THEREFORE RESOWED, that this expression of sympathy he sent to the family of Mayor Benbough and to the City Council of the City of San Diego, also that it be spread upon the minutes of this meeting.
