warrant drawn for same. Carried, all councilmen present voting aye.
Councilmen absent: none.
"Mr. Geo. Johnson, owner of the Bahia Vista Subdivision, prnn
present asking for the approval by the City Council of the plans for
the resubdivision of the Bahia Vista Subd., stating that the FHA is
not very favorable towards the project. Moved by Cordingly, seconded
by Kilcreise, that the City Council go on record as favoring--the-
housing project at the Bahia Vista Subdivision. Carried, all Council-
men present voting aye. Councilmen absent: none.
/De linquent taxes listed on page 25011 submitted by the City
Clerk. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Kilcrease, that the delinquent
taxes be accepted without the seven percent interest and the cancell-
ation fee. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. Councilmen
absent: none.
✓Ma-vor Thatcher reported on the meeting with the Federal
Security Agency regarding the U.S.O. Building for National City.
Communication from Wayne Neal, Field Recreation Representative
requesting the authority to file the application for National -City
for the USO Building. Moved by Warner, seconded by Fritz, that
RESOLUTION NO. 2260 be adopted, authorizing the Federal Security
Agency to c omplete the application forms in behalf of the City of
National City. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye on roll -cal:
Councilmen absent: none.
"Communication from the Division of Highways submitting the
project statement for the budgeting-_ofdacdrued and'accruingn** cent
State high,:ay funds. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Fritz, that
the City Council approve the project statement. Carried, all Council-
men present voting aye. Councilmen absent: none.
Report of the San Diego County Health Department of the
water sample taken from the National City Plunge, read and crdered
filed.

Boswick, read and referred to the Chief of Police.
✓Moved by Fritz, seconded by Warner, that the City Clerkbe
authorizied to send a claim against County Tax Sale 1595. Carried,
all Councilmen present voting aye. Councilmen absent: none.
7Commurication from the County of San Diego submitting a copy
of County Ordinance No. 220( New Series) creating a boulevard stop
at 47th street and Division, read. Councilman Fritz of the opinion
that the stop should be on 47th Street, and not Division. Moved by
Cordingly, seconded by Fritz, that the matter be referred to the
Traffic Commission. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye
Councilmen absent: none.
✓Fire and Theft policy on 1937 Chevrolet pickup, accepted
upon the approval of the City Attorney.
✓Communic ation from the Commandant of the Eleventh Naval
District requesting permission to install a fire alarm system in

the storehouse area of the Destroyer Base which is within the limits
of National City to connect_with the San Diego Municipal Fire Alarm
System. Moved by Fritz, seconded by 'Varner and Cordingly, that
RESOLUTION PTO. 2261 be adopted, granting permission for the San
Diego Municipal Fire Alarm System tires to be strung along and over
Certain City of National City streets. Carried, all Councilmen
present voting aye on roll -call. Councilmen absent: none.
Report of the Planninr Commission recommending a change of
%set -back as petitioned by Mr. W.C.Hosking and approving the tentative
map of the Bahia Vista re -subdivision, read. Moved by Fritz, seconded
by :9arnet,that the report be accepted and placed on file-. Carried,
all Councilmen present voting aye. Councilmen absent: none.
"Moved by Fritz, s econded by Kilcrease, that RESOLUTION NO.
2262 be adopted, granting the petition of Mr. W.C.Eosking for a
change of set -back from 20 feet to 15 feet on the east side of
Highland Avenue on the north side of Second St., Blocks 1 and 2 of
Jordans Sub. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye on roll -call.

'XCommunication from W.C.Hammatt, Civil and Consulting
Engineer of Los Angeles submitting his name as a qualified
consulting engineer, read aril ordered filed.
Report of the City Assessor on the assessed values for
1941-1942 read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Kilcrease, report
be accepted and ordered filed. Carried, all Councilmen present
voting aye on roll -call. Councilmen absent: none.
✓Contract for lease rental on one (1) Model S. tractor
from P.E.Mey presented. Moved by Warner, seconded by Cordingly,
that RESOLUTION NO. 2263 be adopted, authorizing Mayor Frederick J.
Thatcher to sign and execute the contract in behalf of the City.
Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye on roll -call. Councilmen
absent: none.
�.B.Ireland, City Engineer, reported on the conference held
in Los Angeles, with the P.‘%.A. on the proposed sewer project.
SeLng no further business, it was moved by Fritz, seconded
by Cordingly, that the meeting adjourn. Carried, all Councilmen
present voting aye. Councilmen absent: none.
