The adjourned meeting of the City Council called to order at
7:30 P.M. by Mayor Matcher. Councilmen present: Cordin'gly, Fritz,
Kilcrease and Thatcher. Councilman Warner absent:
Administrative officials present: Ashley Johnson, Smith, Lamb,
James Bird, Finnerty and Knapp.
No minutes read.

Matter of license on ice-cream peddlers up for discussion.
City Attorney Johnson read a schedule of fees charged in cities of
comparable size to National City as submitted by the Good Humor Peeples
Chief of Police Snapp stated that the only recommendation that the
License department has is that the license be on the annual basis.
Matter referred to the Ordinance Committee and the City Attorney to
be reported on at the next meeting.
Chief of Police Snapp requested that a new ordinance regulating
and licensing taxi -cabs be adopted by the City as the one now in
force is inadequate. Matter referred to the City Attorney and the
Traffic Commission.

delinquent taxes be accepted without the seven percent interest and the
cancellation fee:

and Safeways Stores, read and ordered filed. Chief of Police stated
the Police department had no objections to -the Prager -application:
Renewal contract for the neon sign on National Avenue , read
and referred to the City Attorney.
Report of the Accidents and Fatalities kg compiled by the
County Board of Health, read and ordered filed.

Moved byCordingly, seconded by Kilcrease, That RESOLUTION/NO.
V-lg6 2189, be adopted, closing portion of F Avenue south of 28th Street in
the Highland Place Subdivision. Carried, all Councilman present
voting aye on roll -call. Councilman Warner absent.
,. Suits to quiet title on Block 321 of the City Plat and on Lots
1 and 2 of Morrisons Sub of * Sec. 155, Nat'l Ro., referred back to
the City Attorney Johnson.
Notice from the Tax Collector of San Diego County of application
no. 1385 to purchase tax -deeded property at public auction. Moved by
Kilcrease, seconded by Cordingly, that RESOLUTION NO. 2190 be adopted,
protesting the application on Lot 7, Block 2 of Paradena Park. Carried,
all Councilmen present voting aye on roll -call. Councilmen absent:
Warner.
/Notice from City Tax Collector Asa R. Webb, of the application
to purchase at public auction, lots 19 and 20, Bladc 138, City Plat.
Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Fritz, that RESOLUTION NO. 2191 be
adopted, approving of the sale. Carried, all Councilmen present
voting aye on roll -call. Councilmen absent: Warner.
'Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Kilcrrease, that the following
transfer of funds be authorized:
• 826.87 from the General Fund to Sinking Fund No. 6.
• 783.03 from the General Fund to Sinking Fund No. 7.
738.97 from the Sp; Del. Tax Fund to the General Fund.
Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. Councilmen absent: Warner.
✓Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Kilcrease, that RESOLUTION NO.
2192, be adopted, authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with

/ Andy Woods on behalf of the City of National City for the ]ease
rental of one 1941 GMC chassis. Carried, all Councilmen present
voting aye on roll -call. Councilmen absent: none.
Being no futher business, it was moved by Cordingly, seconded by
Fritz, that the meeting ad4ourn. Carried, all Councilmen present voting
aye. Councilmen absent: Warner.
