A regular meeting of theCity Council called to order by the
Mayor. Councilmen 'present: Cordingly, Fritz, Kilcrease, Warner,
Thatcher.
Administrative officials present: Smith, Webb, Bird, Johnson,

Moved by Kilcrease, seconded by Cordingly, that the bills be
allowed and warrants drawn for same. Carried, all Councilmen
present voting aye on roll -call. Councilmen absent: none.
VMoved by Cordingly, seconded by Kilcrease, that RESOLTJTION OF
INTENTION N0. 2227 be adopted, closing streets in Bahia Vista f
Subdivision. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye on roll -
call. Councilmen absent: none.
1/ Mr. Leo Stehr presented sub -division map for corner of Second
and Highland, to be accepted by Council. Matter referred to the
Planning Commision.
V Moved by Kilcrease, seconded by Cordingly, that the delinquent
taxes listed on page 216-a be accepted without the seven percent
interest and the cancellation fee. Carried, all Councilmen present
voting aye. Councilmen absent: none.
Notification from the State Board of Equalization of the
application of Edward W. Simkins, Clara I. Simkins and Carl
Thieman for transfer of liquor licenses from Grover H. Traphagen,
read and upon the approval of the chief of Police, ordered filed.
XCommunication from the Exchange Club of National City regard-
ing the Junior Patrol in the City of National City, read and
ordered filed.
Communication from Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Co
regarding the granting of temporary permit, to the A.T. & S.F. Ry
Co., passed by the Cit=, Council November. 3rd, 1930, under Mesolutic
No. 1598, read and referred to the City Attorney.

✓City Tax Collector Asa R. Webb filed notice of intention to
sell at public auction certain parcels of tax -deeded property. Moved
W1 by Cordingly, seconded by Kilcrease, that RESOLUTION NO. 2229 be
adopted, protesting the sale of lots 4,5, and 24, Block 3, City Plat
and setting the minimum bid at $ 100.00. Carried, all Councilmen J.
present voting aye on roll -call. Councilmen absent: none.
City Tax Collector Asa R. Webb filed notice of intention to
sell at public auction certain parcels of tax -deeded property. Moved

approving the sale of Lots 1 to 10, Block 280; of the City Plat.

Communication from the American Legion Kenneth L. Blanchard
Post 255 approving the 20 Acres of land which the Coordinating 4
Council is asking for a recreation center, read and ordered filed.
A Communication from the National'City Co-ordinating Council
regarding the reservation of the 20 Acres immediately south of 8th
Street, West of No. 1 Mole Pier paralleling 8th Street, East to Barba]
Drive and West to Bulkhead line as shown on map drawn by City Engines]
of the new dredging area, for use as a recreational center. Read and
ordered filed.

Ir Report of the Planning Commission on the following petitions:
V1. Petition of Susan A. Oliver to have a uniform 10 feot set back on
Lots 1 to 9, inclusive of Jeraulds Sub. be granted.
42. Petition of C.M.Keim for a special permit to contruct an
additional dwelling on lot 6 and 3 of lot 7, Block 1, T.Parsons Sub
10 Acre Lot 12, * Sec. 155, be granted.
13. Petition of Carl Bohling for a five foot instead of 10 foot set
back on 15th Street, Block 50, City Plat for the construction of an
auto court be granted.
4. Petition of Nevla Kitzmlller to establish a trailer camp on lots
7 to 10, and 13 to 16 inclusive of Block 27, City Plat, be granted.

Planning Commission be accepted and ordered filed. Carried, all

2232 regarding the construction, maintenance and repairing of certain
streets in the City of National City be adopted and a copy be sent to
the County Board of Supervisors. Carried, all Councilmen present

allowing the increase of $ 5.00 per month to all employees of the Cit;
of National City being employed by the City of National City for the

Chief Knapp requested the appointment of Timothy Dunn as a
Special Police officer and iSoundmaster at the salary of $ 100.00 per
month, retroactive as of May 15, 1941. Moved by Warner, seconded by
Fr Fritz, that RESOLUTION NO. 2235 be adopted. Carried, all Councilmen
present voting aye on roll -call. Councilmen absent: none.
Fire Chief Bird requested the appointment of Russell Babcock,
as relief fireman at the salry of $ 125.00 per month. Moved by ,
Cordingly, seconded by Kilcrease, that the RESOLUTION NO. 2236 be
adopted, appointing Russell Babcock as relief fireman. Carried, all
Councilmen present voting aye on roll -call. Councilmen absent: none.

be adopted, authorizing the City Attorney to appear in court represent

ing the City of National City in quieting title on Bahia Vista.
