City Engineer Ireland advised the Council that there be no objections. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Fritz,that RESOLUTION NO. 255 f 2264 he adopted, approving the plans and specifications. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye on roll -call. Councilmen absent: none. Request of the National City Board of Library Trustees that Mrs. Henry Wilson be re -appointed to the Board. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Warner, that the appointment be granted. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Kilcrease that the price be secured for one set of signals according to srecification and that the City Clerk be authorized to advertise for bids. Councilmen absent: none. 4eport acid recommendation of the Traffic Commission that the City adopt an amendment to Ordinance No. 508 relative to the Junior Traffic patrol. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Kilcrease, report be accepted. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. Councilmen absent: none. Councilmen absent none. ✓Mr. Fred Stahl requested that the City fill in the street to his auto camp with granite so as to make it passable in the winter. Moved by Kilcrease, seconded by Cordingly, that the matter be laid over. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. Councilmen absent: none. Y Report of the Traffic Commission on the petition to make Palm Avenue from Ath Street to 18th Street a 25 mile sone, also placing stop signs at l8th st and Palm avenue, recommending that the petition be denied as the Motor Vehicle Code. of the State of California prescribed standards required for 25 mile zone- no jurisdiction by the City. Also recommending that the stop sign be placed on DiviAion at calm Avenue. Moved by Warner, seconded by Cordingly, that the report be accepted. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. Councilmen absent: none. ✓ Moved by Fritz, seconded by Cordingly, t hat the petition for a 25 mile zone on Palm Avenue from Mth St to 18th Street, be denied. JMoved by Cordingly, seconded by Warner, that RESOLUTION NO. 2266 be adopted, establishing a boulevard stop at Palm on Division Street. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. Councilmen absent: none. 4/City Engineer Ireland reported that the PTA recommends, backed by the State 3oard of Health, that the City enter into an agreement allowing the City of National City to use the San Diego Disposal plant for sewage. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Cordingly, that the City Engineer and the City Attorney he instructed to contact the City Attorney of San Diego to work out an agree1 nt. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Kilcrease, that the City o M tonal <ITy Re petitioned to improve the shoulders and bridge north of 257 1 Division Street on Highland or 43rd Street as it is a traffic hazard and a bottleneck.
