$ 6,825.00 has been set as the tentative budget for 1940-19411.
Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Thatcher, that the following
transfer of funds be authorized:
$ 62.89 from the General Fund to the Park Maintenance and Im. Fund.
i $ 3,884.45 from the Sp. Del. Tax Fund to the General Fund.

"Moved by Warner, seconded by Eilcrease, that RESOLUTION NO. 2116
adopting the rules and regulations as established by the Peace Officers
Civil Service Assn of California, f or the Police department, be
adopted. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye on roll -call.

allowing the automatic increase in salary for Patrolman Increase,
and Patrolman Whittaker from $ 100.00 per month to • 125.00 per month,

The hour being eight o'clock, the Mayor opened the hearing for
protests on National City Lighting District No. 1. It appearing that
no protests on the district having been filed with the City "lark, it
was moved by Thatcher, seconded by Warner, that RESOLUTION NO. 2118,
approving and confirming the report of the City Engineer, be adopted.
Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye on roll -call. Councilmen
absent: none. It was then move by Elie rease, seconded by Cordingly,

£lighting District No, 1, be adopted. Carried, all Councilmenpresent

Cit7sfrom July 15, 1940 to July 21, 1940.
J City Treasurer Webb granted--ipermission to be absent from the
State from July 6, 1940 to July 31, 1940.

from 17 years of age and oiler. City Attorney Campbell stated that
a work permit from the State Labor Commissioner would be needed for
guards under the age of 18.
Being no further business, it was moved by Kilcreasq, seconded by
Cordingly, that the meeting adjourn. Carried, all Councilmen present
voting aye. Councilmen absent: none.
