'Notification from the State Board of Equalization of the application of Jerry Gonzales # 12 Roosevelt Avenue for a liquor 74 ty license, read and ordered filed. Notification fr'm the war Department, United States Engineer Office, of the application by the llth Naval District, San Diego, for a permit to dredge near the Navy Recommissioning Pier, Destroyer Base, San Diego Bay, read and ordered filed. Letter of appreciation from the Board of Directors of the Casa de Salud for the painting of the Casa building, read and ordered filed. /Communication from the Division of Highways regarding roadway markings referred to the City Attorney. ✓RESOLUTION NO. 2088, ordering the closing of the alley in Block 83 and Block 110 and Coolidge Avenue from 18th St to 19th St read. Moved by Kilcroase, seconded by Thatcher, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye on roll -call. Councilmen absent: none. City Clerk Dple Smith read Ordinance No. providing for a Board of Examiners and Appeals, it its entirety. As this Ordinance was introduced and laid over on March 19, 1940, it was moved by Cordingly, seconded by Warner, that ORDINABANCE NO. 673 of the Ordinances of the City of National City, amending Section 304 of Ordinance No. 656, be adopted. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye on roll -call. Councilmen absent: none. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Kilcrease, that the following delinquent tax be accepted without the seven percent interest and the cancellation fee: Elizabeth Eilerman the 1936-1937-and 1938 tax on Lots 9 to 22 inclusive of Rosmore Sub of n Sec. 153, Rancho de la Nacion $ 108.25 .
