Matter referred to the City Attorney and City Engineer, ,'Standlee McMains presented a petition to abolish parallel parking on National Avenue and to install diagonal parking. Referred to Traffic Commission. 'The application of Mr. L.R.McLauchlan for a lease on the tide- lands filed for future action. Communication from the Board of Directoas of the Casa de Salud b./ Mrs. Crpwell Eddy, reouesting some repair work for the Casa, read and reffered to the Custodian of `ublic Buildings. Communication from the Planning Commission recommending the refund of the $ 10.00 special permit fee to Mrs. Eva Mae Gottschalk. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Kilerease, that the refund be granted. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye on roll -call. Application for Mr. George Davis for e special permit to construct a Motel on Block 15, City Plat., laid over. ' J Moved by Bird, seconded by Warner, that RESOLUTION N0. 2172, authorizing the execution of the Grant Deed to the United States Gov't for that portion of the tidelands granted by Special Municipal Election, be adopted. 5arried, all Councilmen present voting aye on roll -call. Councilmen absent: none. Mr. Del Dickson of the Chamber of Commerce requested the he I59 City to allow the Chamber to use the Planning Commission room for a few months after January 1, 1941, at no expense to the City. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Warner, that the reouest be granted. Carried, all Councilmen present voting eye. Councilmen absent: none. Moved by Bird, seconded by Warner, that the following transfer of funds be authorized: ,From the Sp. Dell Tax Fund to the General Pund % 1,287.35 From the State Auto Fund to the General Pund the sum of $ 730.75 reimbursemng the General #und for the salary of 6 men @ $ 20.00 per month for six month; also the cost of supplies. From the A.B.C. Fund to the General Fund the sum of z 772.50 reimbursing the General Fund for the sak'y of 3 men @ $ 40.00 per ponth for six months; also the cost of supplies Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye.
