at Chula Vista on December 20, 1940, read and ordered filed.
Notice from the State Board of Equalization of the application
of lames W. Thompson, 1441 Highland Avenue for teansfer of liquor
licenses, read and upon the recommendaticns of the Chief of Police,

Renewals of non -ownership policy end the automobile liability
policy covering various vehicles owned and operated by the City,
submiited by Guy end Guy, referred to the City Ittorney and the
City Clerk.
Moved by Kilerease, seconded by Cordingly, that the following
delinquent taxes be accepted without the seven percent interest and
the cancellation fee:
'Communication from the Band Parents Club, sponsoring the
Sweetweter Union High School Band, requesting permission of the Cit
to paint the housenumbers on the curbs, compensation for such to
be entirely voluntary, referred to the City Attorney and Chief of
Police. Upon the receeommendetion of the Chief of 4'olice and
City Attorney, it was moved by Cordingly, seconded by Warner, that

'Report of the Traffic Commission with recommendations for the
installation of a 1000 watt :endanttlight et the intersection of
8th and National Avenue; cross -hatched intersections at 7th Street,
8th street,:.9th street and 10th street and National Avenue end
30 degree diagonal parking on National Avenue Moved by Cordingly,
seconded by Kilcrease, that the Sup't of Streets be instructed to
paint the cross -walks and National Avenue for 30 degree parking.

City Engineer Ireland submitted a grant deed from the City of
National City to Harold S. Mann end Mary I. Mann, on portion cf
closed street which was given to them in exchange for other property
end which is necessary to clear the title. Moved by Cordingly,
seconded by Kilcrease and Fritz, that RESOLUTION NO. 2177, be adopte
authorizing the Mayer to execute the deed. Carried, all Councilmen
