Councilmen absent: none. / Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Thatcher, that the Park Superintendent be authorized to make certain improvements in the Park area; cost of said improvements not to exceed, $ 1,400, including 60 the sum of $ 400.00 approved on January 16, 1940. Ordinance No. relating to the tax procedure for the City of National City, which was presented for the first, reading on January 16, 1940, presented for passage. Moved by Warner, seconded by Thatcher, that the heading only be read. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. Councilmen absent: none. City Clerk Dale Smith read the heading. Moved by Warner, seconded by Cordingly, that 61‘ ORDINANCE NO. 671, entitled " An Ordinance Providing A System for Raising of Revenue by Taxation for the City of National City", -be; adopted:_Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye on roll -call. Councilmen absent: none. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Bilcrease, that the following transfer of funds be authorized: 945.61 to Sinking Fund No. 6 from the General Fund ' 568.22 to Sinking Fund No. 7 from the General Fund. .1 334.50 to the General Fund from the Sp. Gas Tax St Imp Fund. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye on roll -call. Councilmen absent: none. adding abatement clause to zoning_ord & ORDINANCE NO. /entitled " An Ordinance Amending Ordinance No. 622 of the Ordinances of the City of National City, California, Passed and adopted March 23, 1933, by Adding Section 17Q to Said Ordinance;Jpresented and read in its entirety by City Attorney Campbell. Moved by Warner, seconded by Cordingly, that the Ordinance be introduced and laid over, under the rulesand according to law. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye on roll -call. Councilmen absent: none. 'James A. Bird, Building Inspector, brought to the notice of the City Council the condition of certain structures within the City of National City and stated that he was determining the stability of a structure on Lot 277, Lincoln Acres Annex No. 2, to see if it would pass safety requirements and. it collapsed. Moved by Warner, seconded by Thatcher, that the City Attorney -be instructed to determine the best policy to follow in regard to the abatement of this type of nuisance. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. Councilmen absent: none. Being no further business, it was moved by Cordingly, seconded by Kilcrease, that the meeting adjourn.
