Councilmen present: Cordingly, Thatcher, Warner, Bird. Councilman Kilcrease absent. Administrative officials present: Finnerty, Ireland, Latpb, Campbell, James Bird. Report of the Planning Commission on the petition to close, the � � , 46 W"` Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Warner, that RESOLUTION NO. 2146 requesting the Division of Highways to approve Lanoitan Avenue from 18th St to 24th St and 24th Street from Lanoitan to Granger Avenues as,a Street of Major Importance, be adopted. Carried, all,Council- men present voting aye on roll -call. Councilman Kilcrease absent. alley in block 4 of the City Plat, recommending the petition be granted, read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Warner, that the report be accepted and ordered filed. - Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Warner, that RESOLUTION OF 4s INTENTION NO. 2145, closing the alley in block 4 of the National City Plat, be adopted. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye on roll -call. Councilman Kilcrease absent. ✓Memorandum of Agreement and lease with the San Francisco Bridge Company discussed and laid on the table. Mr. O.C.Ludwig, attorney in behalf of a roup of mothers of children attending the Lincoln Acres School, regarding the oiling of Lanoitan Avenue from 18th to 24th street. Mr. Finnerty stated that the District office of the Division of Highways will recommend to Sacramento, the appooval of this street as a Street of Major Importance, Shen the Council adopts a Resolution requesting same. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Thatcher, that the following delinquent taxes be accepted without the seven percent interest and -the cancellation fee: Kermit Wilson the 1939 taxes on Lot 0 of Block 3 of Lincoln Acres Orchard Sub of * Sec. 107, Nat'l Ro $ 12.47 D.P.Peugh the 1939 taxes on the 8 55' of Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, Block B of Beermakers Sub of 4 Sec. 133, Nat'l Ro $ 22.16 Union Title Insurance and Trust Co., the second half of the 139 1 1937 taxes and all of the 1939 taxes -on the W 83' of Lots 1 and 2 and the-Wi85' of N 6' of Lot 3 of Block 4 of Frank P. Reed's Sub of 20 Acre Lot 2, o Sec. 133, Nat'l Ro $ 19.41 ''H.A.Beauchamp the 1938 and 1939 taxes on Lots 35 and 36 of . Councilman Kilcrease absent. --Upon the request of City Clerk Dale Smith, it was moved by Cordingly, seconded by Warner, that RESOLUTION.'INO. 2147 granting a refund of iP 4.04 to Mrs. Kenneth Cook of the 1939 taxes on Lot 9, Block 2 of National Heights Sub as this tax was paid on Sept. 9, 1940 by the San Diego Federal Savings and Loan Ass'n, be adopted. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye on roll -call. Councifl man Kilcrease absent / Moved by Warner, seconded by Thatcher, that inasmuch as the cost of cleaning weeds on certain property for 1939 cannot be equabbly assessed against the property cleaned, that the tax be stricken from the rolls. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye Councilman Kilcrease, slant. / Matter of San Francisco Bridge Company lease up for decision. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Thatcher, that RESOLUTION NO. 2148 authorizing the Mayor to enter into the agreement in behalf of the City, be adopted. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye on rol' call. Councilman Kilcrease absent. Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Warner, that RES)LUTION NO. 2149 , granting a permit to Mr. McLauchan for a permit to operate general boating business , said permit to be revokable at will of City, be adopted. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye on roll -call. Councilman Kilcrease, absent. Mr. Johnson of the.Kelco Company presented a verbal request for a 60 day option on 300 feet of waterfront between the mole type piers and extending back from the water to the land reserved for Harbor Drive. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Thatcher, that RESOLUTION N0. 2150, aythorizing the Mayor to enter into the option germs and conditions be to agreed upon later. Carried, all Council- men present voting aye on roll -call. Councilman Kilcrease absent. 140 Being no further business, it was moved by Cordingly, seconded by Warneer, that the meeting adjourn.
