Regular meeting of the Hoard of Trustees called to
order by the President. Trustees present,- Cordingly, Snook,
Crandall and Hertel. Weisser absent.
Minutes of regular meeting of December 17, 1918 read
and approved.
The following bills, audited by a mavority of the
Finance Committee presented. Moved by Crandall, seconded by
Snook that bills be allowed and warrants ordered drawn for
the same. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.

Communication from Mrs. John Burnham,Chairman of the
Red Cross Rmergency Committee asking for an anpropriation
of $100.00 to help meet the expenses of the Emergency Hospital
during the height of the Spanish Influenza epidemic, was read.
1 Resolution No. 559, authorizing that a warrant for the
sum of $100.00 be drawn from the General Fund in favor of
Mrs. John Burnham, President of Local Red Cross, was read:
Moved by Snook, seconded by Cordingly that resolution be
adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.

Communication from J. W. Helden requesting permission
to trim trees at 171407 and Avenue, was read. Moved by
Crandall, seconded by Cordingly that it be referred to the
Tree Committee. Carried.
Petition of Mrs. Amelia S. DeFord to remove trees, was
read. Moved by Coriinctly, seconded by Crandall that it be
referred to the Tree Committee. Carried.
Implication of F.B.Northrup for transfer of Pool License
was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Snook that it be
referred to the Health & Morals Committee. Carried.
Reports of the City Clerk, City Treasurer, Fire Chief,
City Recorder and Park Supt. were presented. Moved by
Cordingly, seconded by Crandall that rernrts be received
and filed. Carried.
Contract with the San fiegoConsolidated Gas & Electric
Company for the lighting of streets from December, 1918 for
five years, was presented.
Resolution No. 560 interpreting the meaning of the word
"light" to be "lamp" in contract with the San Diego Conso—
lidated Gas & Electric Company, was read-. Moved by Cordingly,
seconded by Crandall that resolution be adopted. Carried, all

Resolution No. 561, Authorizing Payment of Bonds and
Interest due January 1, 1919, amounting to 01331.88, was
read. Moved by Snook, seconded by Cordingly that resolution
be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
Moved by Crandall, 9econied by Cordingly that the
following named citizens be appointed members of the Board
of Health for the ensuing year: Dr. Theo. F. Johnson,
Messrs. E.F.Osborn, J. C. Ball, John Becker and F. F. Martin.
Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.

Moved by Crandall, seconded by Cordingly that the
Street Superintendent be instructed to repair and paint
all City water -wagons, graders, wagons and such other
tools and implements as he may think necessary. Carried,
all Trustees present voting aye.
Moved by Snook, seconded by Cordingly that Board
adjourn. Carried.
