Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees called to
order by the President. Trustees present,-Cordingly, Snook,
Crandall and Hertel. Weieser absent.
Minutes of regular meeting of Nov. 4 and adjourned
meeting of Nov. 10, 1919, read and approved.
The following bills, audited by a majority of the
Finance Committee presented.

Trustees present voting aye.

remove trees on 12th Street and 2nd Avenue, in front of his

Application of Joseph Martina for position as Deputy
Marshal, was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Crandall
that it be received and filed. Carried.
.Resolution No. 572, authorizing a contribution to the
Local Chapter of the Red Cross of $50.00, was read. Moved
by Cordingly, seconded by Crandall that resolution be adopted.
Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
Moved by Snook, seconded by Cordingly that Board adjourn.
Carried.

'nHFRFAS, on the 24th day of September, 1919,
a petition was duly filed with the Clerk of the City
of National City, California, reeuestirg the Board of
Trustees of said City, to call a special election, and
to submit to the electors of said City, the question
of whether or not a portion of said City, particularly
described in said petition be excluded tharefroh, and
UHFRFAS, the City Clerk of said City of
gationai City, did, on the 25th day of September, 1919,
attach to said petition, his certificate, showing that
he had compared the signatures attached thereto, with
the record of registration of eleclorn of the County of
San Diego, State of California in which said municipal
corporation is situ..ted, and that said petition con-
tained the names of a majority bf the nualified electors
of said City, computed upon the total number of votes
cast at said City of National City, at the last pre-
ceeding municipal election prior to the filing of said
petition, ani that said petition was and is sufficient, and
VHFRFAS, the Board of Trustees of the City of
National City, lid thereafter, to -wit: on the 7th day of
October, 1919, duly pass Ordinance No. 493 of the
Ordinances of said City, calling said special election,
and submitting to the electors of said City, said proposition
and designating in said Ordinance that said election be

called and proclaimed to be held in said City of
National City, on Monday, the 17th day of November,
1919, and
'VHFRFAS, pursuant to said Ordinance, said
special election •gas duly hold in said City on said 17th
day of November, 1919, whereat said Cuestion of 7hether
or not a portion of said City be excluded therefrom was
voted upon, and
WHFRRAS, the returns of said election have ail
been received ant the Rnard of Trustees of said City of
Rational City, California, is at this time, to —wit: on
this 24th day of November, 1919, duly convened pursuant
to law, for the purpose of canvassing said returns, and
has at this time, publicly opened and canvassed the sane,
and ascertained the result of said election in the manner
and form as remuirod by law, and
WHF.RFAS, from such canvass of said returns, it
appears that the result of paid election is as in the
following resolution and order of said Board, stated:
NO7 THrRFFORF, it is by the Board of Trustees of
said City of National City, California, hereby resolved
and ordered as follows:
SrCTION 1. That the result of said election is
hereby ascertained and declared as follo-vs: That in
special election precinct numbered 1 of said City, the
total number of votes cast at said election was / 7 7 .
That there were in said precinct at said election
%/./ votes cast for exclusion and 2 2- votes cast
against exclusion.

SECTION 2. That in special election precinct
numbered 2, of said City, the total number of votes cast
at said election was / 2- .

/o 3 votos cast for exclusion and -2.3 votes cast
against exclusion.
SECTION 3. That special election precincts numbered
1 and 2 constitute and form that portion of the corporation
of the City of rational City, exclusive of the territory
proposed to be excluded, and that the total number of votes
cast at said election in said precincts numbered 1 and 2,
was 3 2 3 ;
That the total number of votee cast in said precincts
numbered 1 and 2 for exclusion was 7 7 .
That the total number of votes cast in said precincts
numbered 1 and 2 against exclusion, was sir .
SECTION 4. That in special election precinct numbered
3 of said City, which precinct numbered 3 forms and con-
stitutes and is that portion of the territory of said City
of National City, proposed to be excluded, the total number
of votes cast at said election, teas / /9
That the total number of votes cast for exclusion

SrITION b. And by reason of the premises, it is
hereby determined and declared, that in special election
precincts numbered 1 and 2, at said special election, being
that portion of the City of National City exclusive of the

territory proposed to be excluded, the proposition to
exclude said territory from the corporate limits of said
City, received the necessary majority of all votes cast
therein.as reruirel by law.
That in special election precinct numbered 3, being
the territory proposed to be excluded from said City of
National City, said proposition to exclude said territory
from said City of National City received the majority of
all tho votes cast in said territory at said election.
SFCTION 6. That by reason of the prentees, it is
hereby determined and declared that the proposition to
exclude said proposed territory from the corporate limits
of the City of National City, California, having received
at said spacial election, a majority of all the votes cast
in that portion of said City of National City, exclusive
of the territory proposed to be excluded therefrom, and
a majority of all the votes cast at said special election
in said territory proposed to be excluded from said City,
and a majority of all the votes cast at Said special
election ,ithin said City, that said proposition to exclude
said territory from said City carried, and that said pro-
posed territory is excluded from the corporate limits of
said City, and is no longer a part thereof, and that the
bounl..rios of said City aro so changed as to exclude such
territory from the corporate limits of said city.
Said territory excluded from the corporate limits
of said City is described as follows, to -wit:
Commencing at the intersection of the northerly
line of Thirtieth Street in said City, produced westerly
with the mean high tide line of San Diego Bay; thence

north 71° 21' cast along the northerly line of said
Thirtieth street produced westerly and the northerly line
of said Thirtieth Street to the center line of "N" Avenue;
thence north 76° 5' east 274.89 feet ..long The northerly
line of the read, or highway, commonly known as "Sweetwater
Road" to a point; thence south 20° 10' east 14.91 feet to
the northerly line of said Sweetwater Road which extends
easterly from nail point; thence north 80° 29' 30" east
along the northerly lire of said Sweetwater Road 389.63
feet to its intersection with the westerly line of ruarter
section number 127; thence northerly along the westerly line
of said ruarter section number 127 to the corner corrron to
cuarter sections numbered 127, 128, 133 and 134; thence
easterly along the northerly lines of ruarter sections
numbered 127 and 106 to the corner common to ruarter
sections numbered 101, 102, 107, and 108; thence southerly
along the easterly lines of ruarter sections numbered 108
and 109 to the corner common to cuarter sections numbered
99, 100, 109, and 110; thence westerly along the southerly
lines of ruarter suctions numbered 109, 126, 135, 151, 180,
174 and 179 to its intersection with the mean high tide line
of San Diego Bay; thence in a northerly direction meandering
along tail moan high tide line to the place of beginning.
The ruarter sections referred to above by number are
according tc the flap of Rancho de la Nscaon No. 1G6 on filo
in tno 0"ioe of the County Recorder of San Diego County,
State of California.
eFCTION 7. That the City Clerk of said City, in e-
iiately make and transmit to the Secretary of State of the
State of California, a certified abstract of the vote cast

at said special election, which abstract shall show the
whole number of electors voting in such territory proposed
to be excluied from said City, the whole number of electors
voting in such corporation exclusive of such territory
proposed to be excluded, the whole number of votes cast in
each for exclusion and the whole number of votes oast
in each against exclusion.
SrITION 8. That the City Clerk and ex-officio
Clerk of the Board of Trustees of said City of National City,
is hereby directed to enter thin resolution ,and order upon the
minutes of the Hoard of Trustees.
