Regular meeting of the Hoard of Trustees called to
order by the President. Trustees present,— Cordingly, Snook,
Crandall and Hertel. Weisser absent.
Minutes of regular meeting of September loth and
adjourned meetings of September 13, 25 and 27th, 1919,
read and approved.
The folionng bills audited by a majority of the
Finance Committee presented.

allowed and warrants ordered drawn for the same. Carried,
all Trustees present voting, aye.
(L. Garcia present and requested permission to open
Pool Hall on 8th avenue and 16th street. Moved by Crandall,
seconded b: Cori.,_ngly that it be referred t0 the Health
and Morals Coir".ittee. Carried.
• J. W. Eallock present and asked permission to rerove
five eucalyptus treed; at 16th Street and F. Ave. Moved by
Cord:ngly, seconded by Crandall that it be referred to the
Tree Committee. Carried.
Communication from the Finance relief Committee of
Corpus Christi, Texas, read and ordered filed.

Communication from. the Nat:on.il City i;ews, relative
to the allowance for publication of the minutes of meetings
and other ratters was read and ordered filed.
Co rlunication from Messrs. Bollard and Howie, expressing
their arprecr,:tion of work done on F. avenue between 31st
and 32nd Streets, was read .and ordered filed.
Petitions from C. Hel1•ian, Robt. Braden, Walter L.
Cagle and Theo. F. Jcans.on, for permission to remove and
top trees, were read. Moved by Crandall, seconded by
Cordingly that petitions be referred to the Tree Committee.

Petition of the School Board for Stroec L' ht ut
16th Street and 6th avenue, was read. Moved by Coriingly,
seconded by Crandall that it be referred to the Streets
and Public Property Committee. Carried.
Petition of property owners of First Ptreet regarding
paving of same, was read and ordered filed.
-Petiten of Mrs. Doe and ''rs. Van Valkenburgh to close
A. Avenue oetween 29th and 30th Rtreets and the alle:c in
Blocks 1 and 2 , Budd Villa Tract, was read. Moved by
Cordingly, seconded by Crandall that it be referred to the
City Attorney.
-Communication from the Library Board regarding the
resignation of Mrs. Minshall and recorit'ending appointment
of Mrs. Herbert Boal to fill unexpired term. Moved by
Crandall, seconded by Cordingly that Mrs. Lillian 77. Beal
be appointed a member of the Library Board to fill out the
unexpired term of Mrs. ldinshall. Carried.

Clerk ,nd City Treasurer, for the quarter ending Septenber
30th, 1919 presested and ordered filed.
Ordinance No. 492, An Ordinance Repealing Ordinance
No. 490 and Amending Sections 2 and 6 of Ordinance No. 484,
Fixing Compensation and its Mode of Payment of Certain

Cordingly, seconded by Crandall, same adopted, all
Trustees present voting aye.
Ordinance No. 493, approving Petition for the xciasion

1919, was placed on final p'aseage, and on motion by Crandall,
seconded by Coriin3-iy, same adopted, all Trustees present

Resolution No. 570, Authorizing the Payment of interest
Coupons due October let, 1919, on Park improvement Bonds,
amounti-ti to $150.00, was read. Moved by Crandall, seconded
by Snook that Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees
present voting aye.
Partial release of Trust Deed by Charles W. Copeland
to the City of National City, and Fase!-en` Tor sever from
Walter F. and Ivy L. Walsh and Herbert D. —r'id Alice D. Field,
was pre,emted. Moved by Crandall, seconded by Cordingly
that the release and easement be accepted and the City Clerk
instr.Cte'd to have same recorded. Carried.
.The City Clerk reported he had received check from
James Burnham 8, Co. for Z39.80, as refund on premium of
Bond of City Marshal, and that same had been deposited
with City Treasurer.
•Moved by Snook, seconded by Crand•.1i that the sum of
3450.00 be transferred from the General Fund to the Street
Fund, and the City Clerk and City Treasurer be instructed to
make the neceseary entries apon their records. Carried, all
Trustees present voting aye.
