Regular meeting -f the Board of Trustees called to
order by the President. Trustees present, —!vane, Cordingly,
Weisser, Crandall and Howard.
Minutes of regular meeting of Feb. 19th read and approved.
The following bills, audited by the finance committee
presented. Moved by Weisser, seconded by Crandall that bills
be allowed and warrants ordered drawn for the same. Carried,
all

Petition of Mrs. Annie A. Sloan to remove three trees
adjoining her property, was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded
by Crandall that petition be referred to the Tree Committee
with power to act. Carried.
Petition of the Pacific Telephone & Telegraph Co.'for per—
mission to trim certain trees, giving the location, was read.
Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Crandall that it be referred
to the Tree Committee with power to act. Carried.
Petition of Geo.F. Miner and W.L.Ruesell regarding keeping
of pigs in 'ity Limits was read and ordered filed.

The City Clerk reported the receipt of $82.30 from the
State Compensation Insurance Fund, in payment of final refund
under compensation policy issued in 1914.
Plans and Specifications of the City Fngineer for the
reconstruction of bridge on Highland Avenue across the Sweet-
water River, presented. Moved by Crandall, seconded by Weisser
th:.t plans and specifications be adopted. Carried by the
following vote: Ayes,-Fvans, Weisser, Crandall and Howard.
Nays,- Cordingly.
Moved by Crandall, seconded by Weisser that the City
10 Clerk be instructed to advertise or bids for the reconstruction
of a bridge across the Sweetwater River on Highland Avenue, as
per plans prepared by the City F.ngineer,_`or two weeks in the
National City News. Carried by the following vote: eyes, -
Trustees Evans, Weisser, Crandall and Howard. Nays, -Trustee
Cordingly.
The Tree Committee reported action as follows on the
petitions for the removal and topping of trees presented at
the last meeting: Petitions of W^_sl Franks, Mrs McDougal,
Mre.Bragg and a.O.Bra,gg and F. Salazar, were granted. Petitions
of Mary C. Foes and 'Ire. Mae Waller were denied. Also stated
they had given permission to Mr. Tullini to top trees at 9th
Street and 2nd avenue.
j Resolution No. 549, calling a General Municipal rlection
to be held April 8th, 1918, was read. Moved by Cordingly,seconded
by F.vans that Resolution be adopted. (.arried,all Trustees pre-
sent voting aye.
Ordinance No. emending Section 1 of Ordinance No.
479,fixing Compensation of City Clerk was introduced.doved by
Weisser,secon•dad by Crandall that it be laid over under the rules.
Carried.
