The adjourned meeting of the City Council called to order
by the Mayor. Councilmen present: Kilcrease, Warner, Bird.
Councilmen absent: Cordingly, Thatcher.
Minutes of the meeting of npril 18, read and corrected as
follows: Page 254, line 1, corrected to read " the Vvest side of
"A" Avenue". Minutes approved as corrected.

Matter of concession for miniature steam train in Park Area
referred to the City Attorney &Sr ruling on legality.
,Communication from the City Engineer stating that the old
building belonging to the Rogan Corporation which stood in
McKinley or Seventh Avenue near llth Street had been removed by
the Street department tad the road open to public use.

'City Attorney Campbell reported that the Sunset 0i1 Co.
offered the pier to the City for salvage value. City Council
decided that the City was not interested in the pier and instructe�
the City Attorney to notify the oil Company to that effect.
City Attorney reno-°ted on the Eminent Domain proceetings on
East side of A Avenue between 18th and 20th Streets, said that
the heirs could bo found. Matter referrel back to the Attorney.
ORDINANCE NO. re„ulating and prohibiting the parking

of vehicles on City Streets between certain hours, read. Moved
by \Varner, seconded by Kilcrease, that the Ordinance be laid over,
under the rules and according to law. Carried, all Councilmen
present voting aye.
'Mayor Bird suggested that a light 'e placed on Southwest corner
of 8th St and National Avenue rand that the cost would he about

be installed. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye on roll -
call. Councilmen absent: Cordingly and Thatcher.
, Moved %Ty Warner, seconded by Kilcrease, that Mr. Ireland be
instructed to purchase floor covering for the Casa de Salud, the
cost to be approximately •$ 151.00. Carried, all Qouncilmen present
voting ave on roll -call. Councilmen absent: Cordingly and Thatcher.
,Building inspector James Bird recommended that the request of
the plasterers be filed. So ordered.

adjourn until 7:30 P.M. on May 8, 1939. Carried.
