A regular meeting of the City Council called to order by the
Mayor. Councilmen present: Cordingly, K'_lcrease, Thatcher, Warner,
Bird. Councilmen absent: none.
Administrative officials present: Campbell, Smith, Ireland,
Gautereaux, Webb and Lamb.
Minutes of the previous meeting of October 17, 1939, read and

2070, accepting the deed of Mary A. Copeland, widow, to certain
property to be used for street purposes, be adopted. Carried, all

�Coununicati on from the Division of Highways regarding the
adoption of an ordinance governing the markings established on the
State Highways for traffic lanes. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by
Warner, that the communication be referred to City Engineer Ireland.

Communication from Ed Fletcher asking that a resolution be
sent to the Civil Aeronautics Commission asking for an early hearing
on the application of the American Airways for an airport in San Diego.

/City Clerk Smith read ORDINANCE NO. governing the
height of certain fences within the City of National City. Moved by
Cordingly, seconded by Thatcher, that the Ordinance be introduced and
laid over, under the rules and according to law. Carried, all
Councilmen present voting aye on mill -call. Councilmen absent: none.
City Attorney Campbell instructed to prepare an'Ordinance
for one hour parking on "A" Avenue, Boulevard stops on alleys
between National.. and "A" Avenue on 8th street, boulevard stops
on "A" Avenue at 8th street, and boulevard stops at 18th and
Granger Avenue.
