of National Avenue, read. After some discussion, it ',as decided by the
Council to have National Avenue swept 24 times a month and to ask the
merchants to cooperate in keeping the gutters clean.

9 ✓ RESOLUTION NO. 2059, appointing L.E.C.;,mith to the Planning
commission for a period of six years, reed. Moved by l",arner, seconded
by Thatcher, that the Resglution be adopted. Carried, all Councilmen
present voting aye on roll -call. Councilmen absent: none.
/Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Warner, that the members of the
Cmty Cour:cil to represent the City of National City at the convention
of the League of California Municipalities and that Chief James A.
biro be authorized to a ttentam the convention of the Pacific Coast
Eire Chiefs. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye.
/ Upon the recommendation of Chief 'James A bird, it was decided to
a1loire the purchase of fire hose for future delivery and billing.
Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Cordingly, that iin following
transfers of funds be authorized:
I $ 500.00 from the General Fund to the Library Fund.

$ 2,447.41 from the Sp. Del/ Tax to the deneral Fund.
Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye.
/ Permission granted to Councilman Frank Cordingly to leave the State
for a period of three months.
✓City Attorney Campbell reported that he will not be present at the
next 'ouncil meeting.
' C.B.Irelaad reported that the piling at the Sunset uharf is being
salvared.
Being no further business, it was moved by Kilcrease, seconded by
Cordingly, that the m et:ng adjourn. Carried, all Councilmen present
voting aye.
