-'Report of the Planning Commission on the applications of
Mr. Sam T. Sutherland to construct a clubhouse andsales room in
connection with a gold driving fairway and Mr. Andrew J. G.-uze
to construct a fruit and veretable stand; Commission recommended that
the foregoing. petitions be granted for a period of five (5) years.
Upon the pppltcation of Mr. Le Roy Patterson to construct a single wall
dwelling of over 400 Sq. Ft. area, the Commission recommended that the

RFSOLTJTION NO. 1977, approvin-- the decision of the Planning Commission
and granting that, applications for special hermits as per report. Carried,

be ordered to Issue restricted license for all peddlers excluding the
City Park and other City property. Carried, all Councilmen present

After discussion_ as to the advisibilit7 of having a City
Playground Director, the City Attorney was instructed to draw a
Resolution appointing B.•T.Cautereaux as Director of City Playgrounds
and also confirming the appointment of the National City Recreation
Commission. '

-Chief of Police Knapp recommended that Radiopatrolman Bullents
compensation he increasers from 195.00 per month to jg n 140 . _0 per month
as of July 1, 1938, due to the fact that Officer Sullen has been doing
all of the maintenance work on the police radios. City Attorney
instructed to prepare the proper papers.
4ity Attorney Campbell reouested more time to investigate the
settlement of the Mattoon Bond on City Property in P.radena Para, So
granted.
In regards to the appraisal of the damage as clamed by Mrs. Sony
Dagg, the City- Attorney requested more time as he_felt that the appraisal
submitted was insufficient. So granted.

by KLlcrease, that the meeting adjourn until Thursday, June 30, 1938,
at 4:00 o'clock, at which time the department hems are to submit a
rough draft of the proposed budget for the fiscal period of 1938_1939.
