Councilmen present: Cordingly, Kilcrease, Thatcher, Warner, Bird. Councilmen absent: none. Minutes of the previous meeting of February 15, 1938, read and approved. Bills audited by the Finance Committee presented: General payroll $ 2,179.50 Street Dept. " 350.00 Library expenditures 428.11 General " 1,805.66 $ 4,763.32 Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Kilcrease, that the bills be allowed and warrants drawn for same. Carried, by the following vote bp -wit: Ayes: Councilmen, Cordingly, Kilcrease, Thatcher, Warner, Bird. Nayes: Councilmen, none. Absent: none. Mr. present regarding certain property reserved for public use; said reservation being made in deeds given by Mrs. Bridgman. Matter referred to City Engineer and City Attorney. Mr. Schrader requested permission to fence his property at the eastern end of Melrose Street as the road now crosses his lot. Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Cordingly, that the matter be referred to City Engineer and City Attorney. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. /Notification from Charles F. Richardson, Secretary of the San Diego County Divison of the League of California Municipalities, that the meeting of March 4th will be held in Oceanside. q �% '. RESOLUTION NO. 1947, calling the General Municipal Election to be held April 12, 1938, read.Apved by Kilcrease, seconded by Cordingly, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, by the following vote to -wit: Ayes: Councilmen, Cordingly, Kilcrease, Thatcher, Warner, Bird. Nayes: Councilmen, none. Absent: none. " Incidental expenses for the closing of the Alley in Block 12, F.A.Kimball's Subd., as submitted by City Engineer Ireland, read and ordered filed. 145 1 • 1 (2�� .. 14 .RESOLUTION NO. 1948, waiving the 7% interest and the cancellation V`fee for years 1931 to 1936 inc., on delinquent tax on certain property assessed in the name of A.G.Williams, read. Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Warner, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, by the following vote to -wit: Ayes: Councilmen Cordingly, Kilcrease, Thatcher, Warner, Bird. Nayes: Councilmen, none. Absent: none. Report of the City Treasurer and Tax Collector Asa R. Webb, of taxes collected to February 28, 1938, with comparison data as of same date in 1937, read and ordered filed. Report of the City Court for the month of February, 1938, read and ordered filed. Discussion of insurance needs for the City. Policy for Public Liability 10/20,000 to submitted for approval to the City Attorney: Matter of Public Liability on the Swimming Pool referredtto Park Sup't Gautereaux. ,,Card of thanks from Mr and Mrs. B.J.Gautereaux and family. , City Enginner Ireland reported that the drainage on street at 26th and F Avenue to be taken care of. Fire Commissioner Thatcher reported on the change -over of the equipment on the large Seagrave Fire truck to pneumatic tires. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Warner, thaCRESOLUTION NO. 1949, authorizing the Mayor to sign lease agreement with Chester L. Dorman for tires and tubes, be adopted. Carried, by the following vote to -wit: Ayes: Councilmen, Cordingly, Kilcrease, Thatcher, Warner, Bird. Nayes: Councilmen, none. Absent: none. Councilman Thatcher introduced a discussion of the retrisal of license fees. Matter laid over for further consideration. , Park Suptt Gautereaux requested permission to purchase certain equipment needed by the Recreational leaders in the Park. Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Warner, that the requestebe allowed. Carrie', by the following vote to -wit: Ayes: Councilmen, Cordingly, Kilcrease, Thatcher, Warner, Bird. Hayes: Councilmen, none. Absent: none. Being no further business, it was moved by Cordingly, seconded by Kilcrease, that the meeting adjourn.
