'ORDINANCE NO. amending Ordinance No. 290, entitled," An Ordinance regulating the keeping and licensing of dogs within the corporate limits of the City of National City, California, and providing penalties for its violation," passed and adopted August 3, 1909, by adding sections 11 and 2* thereto, read. Moved by Kilcrease, seconded by Thatcher, that Ordinance No. entitled " An Ordinance providing for the control and eradication of rabies end the running at large of dogs in the City of National City, California, be introduced and laid over, under the rules and according to law. Carried, by the following vote to -wit: Ayes: Councilmen, Cordingly, Kilcrease, Thatcher, Warner, Bird. Nayes: Councilmen, none. Absent: none. 163 Chief of Police Knapp recommended the appointment of Alton L. Oyer to the police force for a probationary period to fill a vacancy created by the resignation of A.L.Slmmons ; said appointment as radio patrolman at •$ 100.00 per month effective as of April 3, 1938. Moved by Kilcrease, seconded by Warner, that RES:JLUTI0NENO:t1965, appointing Alton L. Oyer be adopted. 'Park Superintendent Gautereaux requested some material needed for the booths at the circus and carnival on May 20th, 1938. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Thatcher, that Mr. Gautereaux be authmrized to purchase same. Carried, by the following vote to -wit: Ayes: Councilmen, Cordingly, Kilcrease, Thatcher, Varner, Bird. Keyes: Councilmen, none. Absent: none. •% Mr. Gautereaux requested an appropiation of $ 277.00 for paint and materials for the swimming pool and dressing rooms.
