A regular meeting of the City Council called to order by the
Mayor. Councilmen present: Cordingly, Kilcrease, Thatcher, Warner,
Bird. Councilmen absent: none.
Minutes of the regular meeting of September 20, 1938, read
and approved as corrected.

M MeN ty representing Ellez, 804 National Avenue, asked that
reliefl rom loss of business due to the meeting of religious
organization in front of his establishment. After considerable
discussion, it was moved by Cordinhfly, seconded by Kilcrease, that
the Chief of Police be instructed, s a safety measure, to keep all
gatherings off National Avenue, which is State Highway No. 101.
Carried, all Councilmen present votinr aye.

Notice of meeting of the San Diego County Division of the
League of Cali6ornia Municipalities in El Cajon on October 6th,
1938, read and ordered filed.
✓Recommendation of the Planning Commission that the petition
€er a special permit of Mr. Otto Jgehn to build a chicken house on
Lot 297, Lincoln Acres Annex No. 2, be granted, read. Moved by
Kilcrease, seconded by Cordingly, that RESOLTJTION NO. 1999, approving
the decision of the Planning Commission and granting the special
permit, be adopted. Carried, by the following vote -
Ayes: Councilmen, Cordingly, Kslcrease, Thatcher, Warner, Bird.
Naves: Councilmen, none.

delinquent taxes be accepted without the seven percent interest and
the cancellation fee:

transfers be autha?lzed:
' 454.55 from the Sp. Gas Tax St Imp Find to the St Imp Fund.
�„ 2,102.20 from the Sp. Del. Tax fund to the General Fund.
Carried, by the following vote to -wit:
Ayes: Councilmen, CordinF3 y, Kilcrease, Thatcher, Warner, Bird.

Resolution No. 1, of the Planning Commission of the City of
National City, California, levying a fee of $ 10.00 to accompany
each application for a special permit to deviate from the zoning or
building requirements under Ord.
National City, California, read.

Kilcrease, that the City Council go on record as approving of the
Resblution. Carried, by the following vote to -wit:

-Notice from the City Tax Collector Asa R. Webb, that the -
collection of the current 1936-1939 taxes can start on October 15.
'Invitation from the City of Escondido to attend the dedication
ceremonies of the new City Hall and the anniversary of the City.
/RESOLUTION NO. 2001, rescinding the appointment of C.W.Van Sant
to the Planning Commission, read. Moved by Thatcher, seconded by
Warner, that the Resolution be adopted. Carriel, b^ the following

RESOLUTION NO. 2002, ordering the cancellation of a duplicate
assessment on the current 1938-1939 tat roll, read. Moved by
Cordingly, seconded by Kilcrease, that the Resolution be adopted.
Carried, by the following vote to -wit:
Ayes: Councilmen. Cordingly, Kilcrease, Thatcher, Warner, Bird.
Nayes: Councilmen, none.
Absent: none.
