Councilmen present: Cordingly, Kilcrease, Thatcher, Bird. Absent: Councilman Warner. Minutes of the meeting of October 4, 1938, read and approved. Carried, by the following vote to -wits Ayes: Councilmen, Cordingly, Kilerease, Thatcher, Bird. Mayes: Councilmen, none. Absent: Councilman Warner: /Mr. E.R.Miller owner of property at 1433 East Eighth Street, asked for a bridge to 0 Avenue from 8th Street. Matter referred to the City Engineer for estimates. / Mr. Clark present regardinr thesstorm drain at 4th Street and B Avenue; matter laid over until the next meeting. /Owners of property in the vicinity of 26th Street and B Avenue improper present regarding the/ddrainage of storm waters in that area. Matter 207 laid over until father investigation. / Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Kilcrease, that the City accept the insurance policy of Guy and Guy an the 1936 Ford Pick-up. Carried, all Councilmen present voting ave on roll-call.Councilman Warner absent /Chief Bird submitted the proposed plan of the MacMillan Petroleum Corporation for the changing of the storage tanks. Moved by Thatcher seconded by Kilcrease, that the City Council approved the plans as submitted by Chief Bird. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. Notice of Hearing at Oceanside, California, for San Margarita River, read and Ordered filed. Moved by Kilcrease, seconded by Cordingly, that the payment of $ 12.36 from the Union Title Insurance Company be accepted for delinquent taxes on certain, -property formerly in the City of National City. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye on roll -call. Councilman Warner, absent. /On the petition of property owners on F Avenue from 18th Street to 28th Street, which was referred to the Planning Commission at the last meeting, the Commission recommends that the street be kept an 80 foot street and that the Council assign someone to secure deeds to the street. Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Cordingly, that the City Engineer be instructed to have a search of title made. Carried all Councilmen present voting aye. Moved by Kilcrease, seconded by Cordingly, that the following delinquent tax be accepted without the seven percent interest and the cancellation fee: 'Union Title Ins. Company G. Roberts /A. Building Inspector and Chief of Police requested to be present. ✓RESOLUTION NO. 2003, apppointing Ernest 0. Chambers to the City 3 Planning Commission to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Joseph Vurgason, read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Thatcher, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye on roll -call. Councilman Warner absent. Being no further business, it was moved by Cordingly, seconded by Thatcher, that the meeting adjourn.
