A regular meeting of the City Council called to order by the
Councilmen present: Cordingly, Kilcrease,Thatcher,Warner,Bird.,
Councilmen absent: none.
Minutes of the regular meeting of November 2, 1937, read and
approved.
Bills audited by the Finance Committee presented:
General expenditures $ 4,369.46
Strect Dept. payroll 365.00
General payroll 1,311.25
Library expenditures 391.91
Final payment- Calland and Eden 5,100.00
Total $ 11,537.62
.Statement from Asa R. Webb, City Tax Collector, for period
to November 15, 1937, read and ordered filed.
-Letter of cognendation from W.E.Flack to the City Council,
read and ordered filed.
Communications from the Division of Highways regarding a
set of Standard specifications read and refe red to the City Engineer.
,The hour -being 8:00 o'clock P.M., the time set for the opening
of the sealed proposals for the National City Lighting District No. 1,
the Mayor called for the bid of the San Diego Consolidated Gas and
electric Company to be opened and publically declared. So done.
Bid referred to the City Engineer for checking. Being no ftrther bids,
it was moved by Warner, seconded by Thatcher, that RESOLUTION OF
AWARD No. 1924, awarding contract to the San Diego Consolidated Gas
and Electric Company for the year from August 1, 1937 to July 31,
1938, be adopted. Carried, by the following vote to -wit:
Ayes: Councilmen, Cordingly, Kilcrease, Thatcher, Warner, Bird.
Nayes: Councilmen, none
Absent: none.
'Moved by Warner, seconded by Cordingly, that the City loan
the Library project located in the building at 3rd st and National
Avenue, ten folding chairs and thelthe City pay the water rental.
Carried, by the following vote to -wit:
Ayes: Councilmen, Cordingly, Kilerease, Thatcher, Warner, Bird.
Nayes: Councilmen, none.
Absent: moue.

Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Thatcher, that the proper.offlcers
be authorized to make the following transfers:
384.50 from the Sp. Gas Tax St Imp rdund to the St Imp,Fund.
3,047.50 from the Sp. Delinquent Tax fund to the General Fund.
Carried, by the following vote to -wit:
Ayes: Councilmen, Cordingly, Kilcrease, Thatcher, Warner, Bird.
Nayes: Councilmen, none.
Absent: none.
/gas • RESOLUTION NO. 1925, granting a special permit to the
California Water and Telephone Company to enlarge the present
existing storage tank in Lincoln Acres., read. Moved by Warner,
seconded by Kilcrease, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, by
the following vote to -wit:
Ayes: Councilmen, Cordingly, Kilcrease, Thatcher, Warner, Bird.
Nayes: Councilmen, none.
Absent: none.

to sign the First Supplemental Memorandum of Agreement for Expenditure
of the * Cent Fund on State Highways, read. Moved by Thatcher,
seconded by Warner, that the Resolution b e adopted. Carried, by the
following vote to -wit:
Ayes: Councilmen, Cordingly, Kilcrease, Thatcher, Warner, Bird.
Nayes: Councilmen, none;

Upon request of the City Clerk,it was moved by Kilcrease,
seconded by Thatcher, that Warrant No. 24108, issued in favor of
A.M.Steele in the sum of $ 30.00 be cancelled due to duplicate
payment. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye.
/9d . RESOLUTION NO. 1927, accepting the deed of H. Philip
Scheuerman and Marie A. Scheuerman for certain property to used as
a street known as ° 20th" street, read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded
by Kilcrease, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, by the
following vote to -wit:
Ayes: Councilmen, Cordingly, Kilcrease, Thatcher, Warner, Bird.
Nayes: Councilmen, none.
Absent: none.

Bessie Bergert, read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Warner, that
the Resolution be adopted. Carried, by the following vote to -wit:

Division, regarding the lease contract for the space to be used by
the Sewing unit, read and ordered filed.
Being no further business, it was moved b y Cordingly,
seconded by Kilcrease, that the meeting adjourn. Carried, all
Councilmen present voting aye.
