Matter referred to the 281 City Attorney. .--Report of the fire Marshall and the City Court for the month of March, 19'06, read and ordored filed. `Quarterly report of the City Treasurer for the period - ending March 31, 1936, read and ordered filed. `communications from the Division of Highways regarding the care of roadside trees and plantings and the prevailing scale of wages paid on certain types of construction works, read -and ordered filed. -Communication from the County Board of Supervisors asking the cancellation of delinquent taxes on property formerly in the name of Thomas Fickle. Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Cordingly, thatthe City Attorney oe instructed to prepare a Resolution authorizing the cancellation of the taxes. Carrried, all Councilmen present voting aye. -Communication from City Ireausruer Asa R. Webb, submitting the amount of taxes collected to date, read and ordered filed. Emergency Relief Administration regarding the project submitted under FNA for a new City Hall; and informing the Council that the project has been disapproved. Letter ordered filed. i RESOLUTION NO. 1811 entitled a "Resolution appointing certain officers and employees of the City of National City, and fixing componsation", .read. It was moved by 'thatcher, seconded by Warner, that the Resolution which appoints Arnold F. Cayser, C.B. as Cat y Engineer, be adopted. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. ° J RESOLUTION NO. 1812 authorizing Arnold j. Cayser to represent the City in all projects submitted under any Governmental Administrations, and repealing Resolution No. 1740 appointing Ira F narbison as representative, read and upon the motion by Cordingly, seconded by Thatcher, same was adopt ed. 282 ''RESOLUTIOP N0. 1813 authorizing the Mayor to sign the First Supplemental 'Memorandum of A&reement between the Division of highways and the City of rational City, read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Kilcrease, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. /ORDINANCE NO. 645 repealing Ord. 643, read and placed on final passage. It was moved by Thatcher, seconded by Cordingly, that the Ordinance be adtpted,carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. City Attorney Campbell reported for the Planning Commission regarding the request for a sign board at 22nd and National Avenue. After some discussion it wits moved by Cordingly, seconded by Thatcher, hhat the matter be laid on the table. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. Upon tho reconunendati:n of the City Attorney, the bill for one half of the cost of the Sweetwater brief was ordered paid upon presentation of release. It was moved by Thabcher,cseconded by Warner, that the Attorney secure the release and lbhe bill be paid. All Councilmen present voting aye. RESOLUTION N0. 7,814 changing the status of all traffic officers to radio patrolmen for the City of lational City, read. Moved by Kilcrease, seconded ty Warner, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Councilman present voting aye. ✓Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Warner, that the three Ford V8's now used as police cars be replaced and the offer of contract submitted by the rational City Motor Company be accepted. Carried, all Councilmen present voting, aye. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Thatcher, that the meeting adjourn. Carried, all 'ouncilmen present voting aye.
