Moved by Kilcrease, seconded by Cordingly, that the bills be
allowed and warrants drawn for same. Carried by the following
vote to-witi
Ayes: Councilman, Cordingly,Kilcrease,Thatcher,Warner,Bird.
Nayes: Councilmen, none
Absent: Councilmen, none.
Moved by Warner, seconded by Thatcher, that the San Di®go
County Welfare be allowed to use the vacant room on the second
floor of the City Hall, for two days a week. Carried, all

Councilmen present rooting aye.
Communication from the Planning Commission presented, and
read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Thatcher,that the matters
therein referred to be laid over. Carried, all Councilmen present
voting aye.
RESOLUTION No. 1804, granting a special permit to Dudley P.
Peugh to build at 18th St at L Avenue in Zone R-1, read. Moved
by Kilcrease, seconded by Cordingly, that the Resolution be
adopted. Carried, all Councilmen present Voting aye.
,geved by Kilcrease, seconded by Cordingly, that the City
Attorney be instructed to prepare Ord # repealing Ord.#
643 of the Ordinances of the City of National City, and providing
for the regulation and licensing of circuses, pool rooms, and card
tables. Carried, by the following vote to -wit:
Ayes: Councilmen, Cordingly,Kilcrease,Thatcher,Warner, Bird.
Nayes: Councilmen, none.
Absent: Councilmen,none.
✓ORDINANCE NO. creating a Harbor Improvement Fund,
read. Lloved by Thatcher, seconded by Warner, that the Ordinance
be introduced and laid over, under the rules and accordingsto
law. Carried, all Councilmen present Voting aye.
Report of the City Court for the month of January, 1936, read
and filed.
/Communication from the Local Option League regarding the
proposed amendment to the State Constitution relating the control
of liquor, read and ordered filed.
/Communication from the State League of California Municipalities
read and ordered filed.
Communication from the Works Progress Administration regarding
the National Youth Administration project submitted by the City of
National City, read and ordered filed.
/Communication from Charles Richardeen, Secretary of the S.D.
County League of Municipalities regarding the meeting on Feb. 7,
1936 at El Cajon and also stating the amount of the 1936 dues, read
and ordered filed. Dues ordered paid.
/ Communication from the Automobile Safety League referred to the
C4ief of Police.

bill on the transcript
on appeal, and presenting bill for $ 18.80.
After some discussion, it was moved by Cordingly, seconded by
Kilcrease, that the bill be allowed and warrant drawn for same.
Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye.
Communication from the Library Board in referencO to the
awnings on the Library building, referred to the Street Department.
Communication fromt he War Department in reference to the inst-
allation of submarine telephone from Broadway Pier to Naval Mooring
No. 63, in San Diego Bay, read and ordered filed.
"Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Warner, that t he proper officers
be authorized to make the following transfer:
743.17 from the Sp.Del.Tas Fund to Sink Fund No. 6
Carried, all 'Councilmen present voting aye.
Fire Chief James A Bird spoke regarding the membership in the
Pacific Coast Builders Official Conference. Matter laid over until
the next regular meeting.
Roved by Cordingly,Seconded by Kilcrease, that the meeting
adjourn. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye.
