Annual report of the Fire Marshall for the year 1935, read and ordered filed. Monthly report of the Fire Marshall for January, 1936, read and ordered filed. Communication from the Leagge of California Municipalities 273 asking for information regarding the business license rates for the City of National City, read. The City Clerk instructed to answer. 'Communication from Guy and Guy regarding the refund on the premium paid by the City of National City for the insurance on the fleet of cars, read and ordered filed. The insurance policy on the Protectograph ordered filed. ✓ Communication from the Division of Highways regarding the responsibility of the Cities to maintain the facilities or improve- ments lying betwc.en the curb line and the right of way line, read and ordered filed. 1iMatter of franchise of the San Diego Cons. Gas and Electric Zompany, referred to the City Attorney. t-ORDINANCE NO. 644, of the Ordinances of the City of National City, creating the Harbor Improvement Fund, was placed on final passage,a nd upon the motion by Thathcer, seconded by Warner, same was adopted. ;RESOLUTION NO. 1804, authorizing the payment of 5 Bonds and 110 interest coupons from Sinking Fund No. 6, read. Moved by Cord ngly, seconded by Thatcher, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. a RESOLUTION NO. 1805, authorizing the cancellation of certain warrants, read. ?Loved by Cordingly, seconded by Warner, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. -Communication from the League of California Municipalities ` and from Senator Ralph E Swing, regarding the meeting of City officials County officials and State officials, February 20, 1936 for the purpose of recommending to the legislative committees suggested changes in the system of liquor control in this State. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Kilcrease, hhat Mayor bird, Councilmen Thathcer and Warner be authorized to represent the City at this meeting. Carried, all Councilmen present voting ave. ✓City Clerk instructed to communicate with Congressmen Burnham, Mc Ado and Johnson regarding the PIMA project for the new City Hall. v Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Warner, that the report of Harry E. Bonnell and Associates, Auditors, be accepted and placed on file. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. 274 ' Platter of the rembership in the Pacific Coast Builders Official Conference discussed. Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Cordingly, that the Oity renew its membership xith the conference. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. ''Nir. John Covert, Engineer, present and sppke regarding the ways and means of financing the proposed sewer project. After considerable discussion, the matter was laid on the table until a future date. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Kilcrease, that the meeting adjourn. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye.
