Councilmen present: Cordingly, Kilcrease, Thatcher, Warner, Bird. Minutes of the meeting of January 6, 1936, read and approved. Carried, by the following vote to -wit: Ayes: Councilmen, Cordingly. Kilcrease, Thatcher, Warner, Bird. Nayes: Councilmen, none. Absent: Councilmen, none. Petition of Mrs. Leona Peugh for a special permit in change of zone, referred to the City Planning Commission. Communication from Attorney Harry P. Sweet, regarding claim of Harry Warner for printing of brief in the Sweetwater Water rate case, referred to the City Attorney. Petition cif Charles and Alice A. Magnes to vacate _alley between B and C Aves and South from 23rd St to 24th St. and portion of 23rd St. referred to the City Planning Commission. Communication from Harry E Bonnell and Associates, Auditors, regarding the cancellation of certain warrants, referred to the City Attorney for preparation of Resolution. Memorandums of Agreement between the Division of Highways and the City of National City, read and ordered filed. 268 Communication from Charles Coe regarding correction of error on the Assessment roll in regards to his property, read and ordered filed . City Clerk ordered to notify Mr. Coe of the decision of the City Council. °Matter of bill for examination Bf harry Bonato on May 7, 1934, . filed with no;action taken. °ORDINANCE NO. 643, regulating andHlicensing certain g ames, was places on final passage,and upon the motion by Cordingly, Seconded by Thatcher, same was adopted. Matter of Ordinance requiring the vaccination of dogs, laid over until a future date. - Moved by Cordingly,0econded by Thatcher, that the Street Superintendent proceed with the sewer project on llth St. between A Avenue an. national Avenue and on alley between llth and 12th St.s, if and when he receives sufficient money from the property owners, said money not to exceed 450200. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. City Treasurer Webb, spoke regarding the City's 2i% on the 1911 Act. p Moved by Kilcrease, seconded by Thatcher, that the City Attorney be hired to represent the City in the appeal of the Whiting case, said coJensation to be $ 160.00 ; which includes the filing fee, fee for printing of brief, and for services rendered. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Warner, that the meeting adjourn. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye.
