Evangelist, present regarding the petition requesting that the "Free Pentecostal Movement, Inc." be granted a permit to conduct revival meetings at 20th anc McKinley Avenues. After considerable discussion, it -,as moved by Cordingly, seconded by Kilcrease, that a temparary license be granted under the strict supervision of Chief of Police Knapp. Carried, all Councilmen present voting. aye. j Cormunication f rom the National City Public Library Board, requesting that %'W Mrs. C. Short and I3r. F. Tongs be re -appointed to serve as members of the Board. Moved by Thatchers econded by Cordingly, that the request be granted. Carried, all Councilmen 296 prosent voting aye. �CommunLcation from the Division of Highways, enclosing a project agreement covering the unbudgeted partion of the e cent City Street gas tax funds for the fiscal year ending June 30th, 1936, r:ad. Moved by Warner, seconded by Cordingly, that RESOLUTION NO. 1822, approving of the Project Statement and authorizing the Mayor and the City Clerk to exdcute the statement in b ehalf of the City, be adopted. Carried, all Councilmen present votinv aye. ✓ Cormur_ication from the Division of Highways enclosing a tabulation showing the annual apportionment of the e Cent gas tax allocation under Section 194 of the Streets and Highways Code, read and ordered filed. ✓Co1-munication from Chas. F Richardson, secretary of the San Diego County Divison of the League of California Llunicipalities announcing the meeting to be held Friday, June 5, 1936, at the San Diego Club, road and ordered filed. Communication from the Union Trust 5ompany of San Diego relative to The tideland lease, also known as the Blackman lease,and petitioningthe City Council for one year's continuance at $? 50.00 per month rent as fixed by the Council on June 4, 1935. It ras moved by Cordingly, seconded by Kilcrease. that the request be denied. Carried, all Eouncilmen present voting aye. /Communication from the A.T.&.S.F. Ry Company, regarding procedure foreasement over First Street, read and regerred to the City Engineer. /Report of the City Court for the month of May, 1936. read and ordered filed. After the matter had been thoroughly discussed, it was moved by Cordingly,s econded by Thatcher, that the City Council of the City of National City go on redord as approving the Resolution as adopted by the San Diego Chamber of Commerce,Board of Dir,ctors, on April 16, 1936. Carried, all Councilmen present voting, aye. City Clerk instructed to forward to T.C.Lacaulay, Executive Manager of the San Diego Chamber of Commerce, the above information. Moved by Cordingly, seconeed by Thatcher, that the City 297 Council request the Board of Supervisors for assistance in the continuation of Bay Blvd., the City to furnish the necessary oil, fill and such trucks as are available. Carried, all Council- men present voting aye. ivlovcd by Tatcher, seconded by Kilcrease, that the proper officers be authorized to make the following transfer: ''$ 3,999.50 fron the Sp.Del.Tax.Fund to the General Fund. Carried, all Councilmen present voting, aye. Chief bird spoke regarding the Rc2 zone, and asking for a definite opinion of the Council in regards to chicken houses for commercial purposes in areas where such buildings already exist. After a round table discussion, it was decided that the CL,OPJON09 Council was in favor of allowing louses in R-2 Zone areas suitable for such purposes. The matt-;r of special consideration of the R-2 Zone referred to the Planning Commission through Councilman `thatcher and City Engineeb Cayser. Cayser, City Engineer, be appointed to the Planning Commission Carried, all Councilmen present votinr aye. --Fire Chief Bird reported for City Engineer Cayser in regards to the City Hall.
