Report of the City Planning Commission in the matter of the petition of Estella M. Willoughby asking that a conditional exception in the use of certain property be granted, and recommendin that the request be granted. Moved by Cordingly,seconded by Kilcrease, that RESOLUTION NO. .• , granting a conditional exception to Estella M. Willoughby in the use of certain property be adopted. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. .-Communication from Cosgrove and O'Neil regarding the aveetwater Water rate case, now on appeal, read and ordered filed. -Communication from the Works Progress Administration of California, by L.M.Canady, Director, Division of Operations, regarding the information requested on the proposed sewer project, read and ordered filed. Communication from the Olivewood Club regarding the Annual Flower Show. Lioved by Cordingly,seconded by Hilcrease, 00 that the City donate the sum of $ /C towards the finances of the Show. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. The Final Report by the Division of Highways covering the Shaping and oiling of shoulders in the City of National City on Road XI-SDa2-Nat' C; read and ordered filed. .- League of California Municipal Bulletin No. 8, read ;end ordered filed. "Communication from J.D.Adama Company stating the rental terms on the new grader. ISoved by Cordingly,seconded by Warner, that the proper officers be authorized to enter into contract. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. Communication from Congressman Geo. Burnham regarding the City Hall project now in Washington, read and ordered filed. Communication from Senator Hiram Johnson in answer to our letter of February 25th regarding the City Hall project, read and ordered filed. ORDINANCE NO. repealing Ord.# 643, read. Moved by 279 Cordingly, seconded by Hilcrease, that the Ordinance be intro- duced and laid over, under the rules and according to law. Carried, all Councilmen present voting ave. RESOLUTION NO. 1807 authorizing the payment of 75 interest coupons in Series D, read. Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Warner, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. -RESOLUTION NO. &808 authorizing the cancellation of tax bill No. 335 of the 1935-36 roll, read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Thatcher, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. City Attorney Campbell reported on the matter of the' franchise of the San Diego Cons. Gas and Electric Company. -Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Thatcher , that the City Attorney represent the City of National Uity at the meeting of the City Attorneys in Los Angeles, and that the City pay $ 20.00 of the expense. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. "Moved by Warner, seconded by Cordingly, that the City Clerk be instructed to draw RESOLUTION NO. 1810, endorsing the action of the State League of California IvIunicipalittes on the liquor control program,and forward copy of same. to Allen Wright, City Clerk, San Diego. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Thatcher, that the meeting adjourn. Carried,--sll Councilmen present voting aye.
