Councilmen present: Cordingly,Kilcrease, Thatcher,Warner, Bird. Minutes of the regular meeting of November 4, 1936, read and approved. Bills audited by the Finance Committee presented: General Payroll $ 1,070.75 Street Dept. payroll 216.00 Expenditures -as per ledger 1,026.92 $ 2,313.67 Moved by Kilcrease, seconded by Cordingly, that the bills be allowed and warrants drawn for same. Carried, by the following vote to -wit: Ayes: Councilmen, Cordingly,Kilcrease,Thatcher,Warner,Bird. Nayes: Councilmen, none Absent: none. Communication from Harold S. Dutton, regarding a license to sell Metal Scripture Mottoes, read and ordered filed. Communication from Robert S. Porter, regarding the condition of the sidewalk on Division Street from National Avenue to "E" Avenue, read and referred to the Street Commissioner. /Communication from Chamber of Commerce of National L'ity enclosing a check for $ 7.50 to cover the expense of the insurance on the aerial map loaned to them, read and City Clerk ordered to have check drawn to the City of National Lity. Communication from the Rehabilitation Debenture Trustees of Bandon, Oregon, read and ordered filed. i Communication from the Pacific Coast Fisheries Institute read and ordered filed. /Copy of the communication sent by the Chamber of Commerce to Senator McAdoo, Senator Johnson and Congressman Burnham by the Chamber of Commerce, read and ordered filed. Communication from the Los Angeles, County League of California Municipalities announcing their meeting Nov. 19th, read and ordered 34 filed. /Communication from R. ;owell Davies, City Attorney for the City of Chula Vista, enclos&ng a copy of -the telegram sent to Ira H. Rowell, Attorney for the Railroad Commission regarding the Sweetwater case, read and ordered filed. Chief of Police Knapp recommended that the application of C.N.Atterbury for a card table license be denied. Moved by Warner, seconded by Cordingly, that the license be denied-: Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. ./Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Cordingly, that the following transfers to authorized: $p 423.49 from the Special Gas tax Street Imp. Fund to the Street Improvement Fund. 2,942.63 from the General Fund to the State Auto Tax Fund. Carried, by the following vote to-mit: Ayes: Councilmen, Cordingly,Kilcrea-e, Thatcher,Warner,Bird. Nayes: Councilmen, none. Absent: Councilmen, none. Being no further business, it was moved by Cordingly, seconded by Thatcher, that the meeting ad4ourn. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye.
