A regular meeting of the City Council was called to
order by the mayor. Councilmen present; Cordingly,
Kilcrease, Thatcher, Warner, and Bird. Councilmen
absent; none.
Minutes of the regular meeting of April 2, 1935,
read and approved as corrected.

Moved by Warner, seconded by Cordingly, that the
bills be allowed and warrants drawn for same. Carried,
by the following vote to wit:
Ayes: Councilmen, Cordingly, Kilcrease, Thatcher, Warner,
and Bird.
i'ayes: Councilmen, none.
Absent: Councilmen, none.
Oral Communication from Howard Mikkelson on behalf
of Loma Lodge,# 159, Knights of Pythias, requesting that
the ball park be under the supervision of the Lodge.
) Communication from J.L.Goins protesting the assessed
valuation on improvements on his property, referred to
the City Assessor.
'I/Communication from the District Engineer's Office
of the Division of Highways regarding the one-quarter-

cent funds for maintenance work, read and ordered filed.
Communication from the War Dept. regarding the
Public Hearing to to held April 25, 1935 in San Diego on
Harbor Improvement and also the notice of application
for a recreation pier at Ocean Beach , read and ordered
filed.
'Communication from Senator Ed Fletcher enclosing a
letter from the State Engineer regarding water supplies
available in San Diego County, read and ordered filed.
./Communicatiom from the Legislative Information
Service regarding certain bills pending in Legislature,
read and ordered filed.
Communication from C.B.Reese requesting a license
for a card table at 1611 National Ave, also known as
The Lark, read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by
Kilcrease that the request be allowed. Carried, all
Councilmen present voting aye.

Councilmen present voting aye.
9Reports of the Fire Dept. and the Five Marshall
for the month of March read and ordered filed.
Matter of the appeal of the National City Salvage
Co. laid on the table until next meeting.
Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Warner, that the
City Council adjourn. Carried, all Councilmen present
voting aye.
