National city, California, Dec. 9, 1935
The adjourned meeting of the City Council called bo order
by the Mayor. Councilmen present: Cordingly, Kilcrease,Thatcher,
Warner, and Bird.
The reading of the winutessofr,th6riprevious meeting was
laid over until the next meeting.
Bills audited by the Finance Committee presented:
Wm Powers school guard $ 10.48
Del Lic#son Xmas lights 25.00
Total g 85,48
Moved by Cordingly, Seconded by Kilcrease, that the bills be
allowed and warrants drawn for same. Carried, by the following
vote to -wit:
Ayes: Councilmen, L'ordibgly, Kilcrease, Thatcher, Warner,Bird.
Nayes: Councilmen, none.
Absent: Councilmen, none.
° RESOLUTION NO. 1796, requesting the PWA authorities for a
grant to finance the building of the new City Hall, read. Moved
by Kilcrease, seconded by Cordingly, that the Resolution be
adapted. Carried, all "ouncilmen presnet voting aye.
The Finance Committee requested more time to decide upon
the audit of the City books. Granted.
Mr. R.A.Gehring presented a petition of property owners for
re -zoning of the north side of 18th St. between K and L Ave.,
matter referred to the Planning Commissio/upon the motion by
Warner, seconded by Cordingly. �r
A committee from the Chamber of Commerce headdd by Geo.
Johnson, requested permission of the pity Council to decorate the
neon sign for Xmas, the City to pay one half o" the expense.
Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Kilcrease, that the request be
granted and the City pay one half of th a expense. Carried, all
Councilmen present voting aye.
Moved by Cordingly, sedonded by Kilcrease, that the Council
adjourn. Carried, all Councilmen prgsent Voting aye.
