National City, California, July 16, 1935
A regular meeting of the Luity Council of the City of
National City wasncalled to order by Mayor pro-tem F.J.
Thatcher. Councilmen present: Cordingly, Kilcrease, Thatcher,
and Warner. Absent: Mayor Bird.
Minutes of the regular meeting of July 2, 1935, read and
approved.

Moved by Warner, seconded by Cordingly, that the bills be
allowed and warrants drawn for -lane. Carried, by the following
vote to wit:
Ayes: Councilmen, L'oidingly, Kilcrease, Thatcher, Warner.
Nayes: Councilmen, none.
Absent: Councilmen, Bird.
. RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 1775, National City Lig-ting
District No. 1, read. Moved by Warner, seconded by Kilcrease,
that the Resolution b^ adopted. Carried, by the following vote
to wit!
Ayes: Councilmen, Cordingly, Kilcrease, Thatcher, Warner.
Nayes: Councilmen, none.
Absent: Councilman, Bird.
'RESOLUTION NO.1776, Closing portion of "E" Avenue, read.
Moved by Kilcrease, seconded y Cordingly, that the Resolution
be adopted. Carried, by the following vote to wit:
Ayes: Councilmen, Cordingly, Rilcrease, Thatcher, Warner.
Nayes: Councilmen, none.
Absent: Councilmen, Bird.
ORDINANCE NO. an Ordinance amending Ordinance
No. 538 of the City of 'national City, California, relating to
the Assessment, Levy and Collection of taxes, read. Moved by
Cordingly, seconded by Warner, that the Ordinance be introduced
and laid over, under the rules and according to law. Carried,
all Councilmen present voting aye.
Communication from S. I+iolchanoff requesting a license for the
operating of two cadd tables, read. Moved by Warner,seconded by
Cordingly, that the requr,st to referred to the Chief of Police.
Carried, all vouncilmen present voting aye.
svouncilmen Warner, asked permission to be absent from the
City for a period of time. Granted.
Moved Ly Cordingly, Seconded by Kilcrease, that the meeting
adjourn until 7:30 o'clock P.M. Tuesday, July 23, 1935. Carried,
all vouncilmen present voting aye.
