Pursuant to call by the Mayor of the City Council as shown by the following affidavit, a special meeting of the City Council was held March 25, 1935, at 8:00 o'clock P.M. of said day. Said affidavit as follows: Councilmen present, Cordingly, Kilcrease, Thatcher, Warner and Bird. Mayor Rife ,nd Councilman Vincent Howe of Chula Vista were present. City Attorney Isaacson read two communications from the Railroad Commission relating to the briefs to filed in the water rate case now pending the Federal Court.' Mayor Rife and Uounc ilman Howe stated their opinion on the water case and the action to be followed by Chula Vista and rational City. Both are of the opinion that the case should be followed through and the proper legal counsel retained, to represent both Chula Vista and National City. After considerable discussion , it was moved by Warner, seconded by Kilcrease that RESOLUTION NO. 1768, appointing J.A.Isaacson to represent the City of National City,in the water rate case. Carried, by the following vote to wit: Ayes: Councilmen, Cordingly, Kilcrease, Thatcher, Warner, Bird. Naves: Councilmen, none. Absent: Councilmen, none. nOFNOTICE OF A SPECIAL MRFTING THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY CALIFORNIA. TO THE MEMBERS OFTHE CITY COUNCIL OFTHE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA. GENTLE -EN: Please take notice that a special meeting of the City Council of the City of National City, California, is hereby called by the undersigned, Mayor of said City, and will be held in the chambers of said City Council in the City Hall in said City on Monday, the 25th day of March, 1935, at S:00 o'clock P.M. of said day. The purpose of said meeting will be for consideration of appointment of attorney to represent the City of National City in connection with the case now prinding in the Federal Court relating to the order of the Railroad Commission made in the Sweetwater Water Company rate hearing matter, and the transact&on of any other business that may be desired. COUNTY OF SAN DIEGD. ) Dale Smith, being first duly sworn deposes and says, That he is and at all times hereinafter mentioned was a citizen of the United States of America, over the age of twenty-one and City Clerk of said City of National City, California; that on the 25th day of March, 1935, and more than three hours before the time designated in the foregoing notice and call for a special meeting of said Cmty Council, for the meeting therein referred to, afiant personally delivered in laid City, to each of the members of said City Council, a notice whereof the foregoing is a true copy.
